Great machine if you have realistic expectations
Update: Installed an Nvidia GTX 1660S. Took out the 550 and used the extra dangling 6+2 pin power jack. Works like a charm. Puts out more heat and the fans spin louder.Pros:1) It really is a 3700x.2) HDMI, DP, and DVI3) Great value for the asking price (under $600)Cons:1) Mostly propriety hardware - not easily upgradeable2) Stock CPU cooling solution gets into 90 C temp under full loadI didn't believe this really was a 3700X (the price was too low), I ordered 2 with the knowledge that Amazon would take it back without hassle. However, these turned out to be a full 3700X albiet with a far from ideal cooling solution. This will be the first thing I upgrade - an aftermarket cooler with heat pipes. The 3700X does run at full speed - slightly better than both a 3600 and 5600X, but just shy of a 5800X.The GPU is better than any integrated solution from Intel or AMD - but it is worse than the most affordable new GPU still available. Playing any kind of game that uses the GPU will lead to disappointment. It's not even suitable for Minecraft (need a GTX 1660 at least for that). It does make for a great business machine - outdoing any of the Intel or AMD offerings that rely on integrated graphics. There is a spare 8-pin power adapter and the machine would probably do fine with a 1030, 1050, or 1660 (any type). But I wouldn't try anything better than that since the Power Supply is under 300W.Most of the parts are proprietary and although these parts are available from HP, they tend to be steep price wise. The following parts are stock and can be reused: CPU, RAM, NVme parts such as SSD and modem, and GPU. The rest are proprietary parts. As I mentioned before, the 3700X runs into the high 80s or low 90s under a full load. It gets hotter than my other Ryzen CPUs - but my other solutions have upgraded cooling solutions. Space is limited and fancy 240mm liquid coolers or tall heat pipe sinks won't fit in the case. There is space to add a smaller fan for intake, but there is no other room for adding any other fans. All ports are hard wired and already present on the motherboard - which is a proprietary solution - take care when using the ports as once they break off, it would be almost impossible to repair.Currently the price, given the price hikes due to the pandemic, is more than fair - it is impossible to part together a machine with the same specs for a lower price. However, a DIY kit using stock parts would probably run $200-300 more, but would also be infinitely more upgradeable. For a minecraft machine, I recommend getting a 1660S - which right now costs more than the asking price for this machine. If a minecraft machine is your goal, then a pre-built with the same specs would probably cost about the same if this machine was upgraded. This would be a great business machine. HP does have machines that use a similar case to this one - with integrated graphics solutions from both AMD and Intel - but they are limited to only 1 HDMI out. This machine has 3 outputs on it already. The CPU+fan, RAM, wireless card, M2 SSD (+cables and fans) are standard, everything else, including the motherboard, power supply, and case are all proprietary. If someone is looking for a business machine, this one, at the price I paid, is a superior solution to the smaller business machines (Prodesk Elitdesk etc). This machine is faster than the most expensive HP G6/G7 business machine. Both the CPU and GPU in this machine are faster by a significant margin - the CPU alone is around double the speed of the fastest current AMD APU. If someone already has a 1660S video card, this would be a great option to buy and upgrade - make sure the cooling solution also is upgraded. However, if someone doesn't already have a video card - another machine is a better option. However, as a daily driver for gaming, this is not worth the hassle due to its limited upgradeability.

A Good Deal
There's not much to say. I honestly had high doubts about this PC as I thought it would be faulty, which I was clearly wrong about. This PC with the Ryzen 7 built in can handle anything thrown at it. I bought this taking the risk of hoping it didn't turn out to be a rip off gaming PC, and most of my gaming has been successful. AMD's software, alongside the AMD 550 graphics card when paired with the Ryzen series of processors can produce some high quality gaming experiences. This is what a "budget" gaming PC should be. Nothing super flashy, but the hardware should be able to do all the legwork.

Excellent Power, Sleek Design
What a deal! A Ryzen 7 for $500 is amazing. I create graphic design in my spare time, and the processing power is excellent. The tower is a little wide, but overall, not too big. It's in excellent shape for being a refurb, in fact it looks new. I couldn't be happier. Shipping was overnight by Fed Ex with a signature required which I was grateful for.

One of the best buys I made on Amazon ...
Thought I could gotten the same price on other platforms at that time -- for $450 I paid it was a great deal .. nothing to complain about.

For low spec gaming it works just fine.
It can run most of the games I like to play in 720p or 1080p. Great upgradeable pc to start with. My biggest complaint would be that my audio does not work on this pc headphone jack does not work and my troubleshooting efforts have yielded no fruit. So while it runs just fine for gaming and would normally be a 4 star review I cannot give it that score.
