Looks great in the box
I bought this guy by accident and then I procrastinated about returning it and then I forgot I still had it...It looks great in the box but it is inside of the shipping box, out of sight, behind a bedroom door.I will either resell it or find a place to display it one of these years.

The accuracy to the film is great. Only gripe I have with this figure is ...
This is definitely THE Batman IMO. Grew up with the Tim Burton films and Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight. The accuracy to the film is great. Only gripe I have with this figure is that I cannot locate the small holes in the cape for the rods to insert into for the "winged" pose for the life of me. However, the figure still looks amazing displayed with my other NECA 1/4 scale figures. Cape is a little wrinkled too but no big deal.

Great likeness, less than perfect re-release, needs a stand
This is more or less the 7-inch NECA Batman 1989, but massively scaled up to 18 inches. The likeness of the sculpt is fantastic, and the paintwork is also great. There were, however, a couple of shiny splotches on the cowl and legs. Most likely glue. The articulation is quite stiff, but that's what you want in a figure this huge. The ankles, though, are quite loose. I have mine leaning back against a wall because otherwise it's going to fall forward as the ankles give in. This is not a great long-term solution. This being the case it's especially unfortunate there is no stand included. This figure really needs one, so you'll have to buy one or attach the figure to a wall with a wire, for example. For some reason, NECA decided to make the grapnel gun on this re-release a single piece. There's an accessory for the belt that makes it very clear the gun is supposed to come apart and be stored in the belt on two pieces exactly as in the film. The original version had a grapnel gun you could take apart. This is a really dumb and avoidable mistake for such an expensive high-end figure that does almost everything else right. Other than this, the figure comes with great accessories that are film-accurate, and you can even use two included metal rods to pose the figure with the cape folded out like wings.

Not a durable figure
Several years ago the judge took my drivers license away for too many DUIs as a middle school bus driver. That put me in a tough spot since I 'technically' needed one to perform my job. I continued on with my driving, but set the limits on how much I would drink in the morning. Unfortunately, I still managed to lose my job shortly after that. A school board member (who happened to have a kid on my bus) saw my picture/mug shot on the cover of a weekly paper sold at 7ELEVEN and the kid cried out enthusiastically to his mom "That's my bus driver! He lets us smoke on the bus!"Not true.Inside the bus yes, but never "on the bus." What would people think or say if they saw kids "on the bus"? It still was not a good enough defense to keep my job though. The board was unanimus on their decision to terminate my services. After losing my dial up internet for not being able to pay my internet bill, I had to hit the pavement for my job search. Usually, my days were filled riding the bus around town picking up an application here or there in between trips to the zoo, movie theater, bowling alley, aquarium, soccer fields, Chuck E Cheese, Toys R Us or my friend Dave's house while he was at work I'd play video games with his three boys. After a few weeks of this, I started to get bored and realized I better find a job soon.It was then when I was starting to feel down while leaving my place that the Batman figure arrived. Without delay, I opened the package and decided to bring it along with me for the bus ride. At least it would brighten my day a bit. After a few hours of just riding the bus, I started to feel down and get bored again Looking at my shoe strings, I had an idea inspired by one of my recent viewings of the stage production of 'Napoleon Dynamite' at the community theater.Upon throwing the Batman figure out the window of the bus while tied by my shoestrings, I failed to tie strong enough knots. What I witnessed in a few lengthy seconds was the figure breaking apart on the freeway and being run over by a large truck. It wasn't pretty. For such a big figure, I would have expected to be more durable.
