The best of several we tried, with a collar hack
(Important hack borrowed from another reviewer: cut a slit in the neck elastic and run a collar through it. Our kitten was able to wriggle out until we figured this out.)This was the best of a few onesies we tried-- the buttons are secure, but offer a few options for length. Rear buttons also make it easy to check on our kitten's stitches. She flopped around a lot for the first day, but unclear if that was the onesie or painkillers. She still walks a little funky in it, but doesn't seem uncomfortable-- much better than trying to eat or sleep or use the litter box with the cone. Our Bean is 6 months, 6.3lbs and lanky, the medium fits well.

its nice
The recovery suit is nice quality. But my vet was not able to use it on my Lilly after her cancer surgery last week. I had measured her back as instructed. I bought a large even though my cat is only 11 pounds and smaller in length. her incision was on her side. She had several stitches. My vet felt the suit was to tight and might pull on her stitches. I am going to try to put it on after the suture removal to see if it will help with the licking. if you have a large cat I don't think it will fit.

It did it job and worked!
We got this for our kitten who at this time was about 3 months old. We had gotten her spayed and needed an alternative to the “cone of shame.” Our kitten only weighed 5 pounds at this time. This onesie did help a lot to keep her from licking the surgical glue, however; she was still able to work her little front legs through the very wide neck and manage to slink out of it. There are multiple adjustments button snaps to make the leg holes tighter or looser depending on what you need. Also, While she had it on, I did like the fact that she never had any issues using her cat litter #1 or #2 . Kitty waste never got on the bottom cutout when she was in the litter. I give it 4 stars bc overall it worked but the beck fitment was a bit wonky. It was a good purchase for the price though.

for small pets
I just got this today, so I can’t comment on durability, but it seems well made. I have a 7yr old cat who has a sore on her back that won’t heal because, I’m assuming, she keeps scratching at it. I put this on her - she’s a small cat, and the large just fits her - and she does the drama walk for a little while, but then resigns herself to her fate, and hasn’t tried to scratch at herself or take it off.I didn’t use the strips that go around the hind legs, because I didn’t want contact with the litter box, so I just folded them up and snapped them in place.

Highly recommend this product! A godsend!
Highly, HIGHLY recommend! I bought this for my kitten after her spay, and after she escaped TWO different kinds of cones. It was very soft, gave her plenty of flexibility, and covered/protected the surgical site.Every time I put it on her, she immediately calmed down and rested—which is what she needed to do. I think she probably felt like it was a straitjacket because she definitely skulked around as it it weighed the world! However, it was very lightweight. Pretty easy to get on and off. And it even stayed clean when she used the litter box—for both needs.I only wish I’d had this the first two nights after her surgery. It would have been a godsend. We BOTH rested better after it arrived. She is wearing an XS here.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Our cat just had surgery on her back and we needed something to protect her stitches. Even though this is designed for abdominal surgery it worked! It’s very soft and was really easy to put on her. She loves it!

Suited to the Purpose
Purchased ahead of my kittens’ spay surgery in the size anticipated as an alternative to e-collars/lampshade collars. The kittens groom each other and I needed something to cover the incision site. Material is lightweight and breathable and I like that the rear leg loops are also adjustable to accommodate actual body length. Snaps close securely. Neck opening is wide, and I may end up hand seeing a few stays on the collar to make it smaller as the surgery date nears and I see the final fit (right now they can get their front legs out the neck hole). The craftsmanship/stitching is on par with what I expected at this price point. I expect they will hold up fine for the 7-10 recovery period and gentle hand washing, but are not constructed as sturdily as surgical suits meant for repeated/long-term use.

Snaps don't come undone
This was a good purchase. The snaps definitely do not come apart. However my little kitten is a big lanky so the medium on her was a little short. She did manage to slip it off somehow getting her arms through the top. But I managed to use it for the two weeks post-op after her being spayed. Overall I think it was a really good purchase, the only thing I would say is that after one wash and sun dry it seemed to shrink and I do see some of the seams coming apart. Overall I would still purchase this to get through any type of abdominal surgery. I might consider a large next time do to her awkward body. Additionally I had to add a few stitches around the neck to see if I can make that a little smaller seeing as she managed to slip out of it. But even that didn't keep her from being squirmy and wiggling out of it. She's like Houdini so there were times where she had the surgical suit and the cone on. Give it a try yourself though.

Great for little dogs!
I have bought many of these for post surgery for my MultiPoo, who is 12 lbs now, and none of the dog ones would fit her well. I decided to try this one for cats and it fits perfectly. The adjustable snaps make it easy to fit her size. She, as you can see in the photo, is comfortable and happy enough to lay down and rest. Love the soft material and the easy on and off snaps. I would definitely recommend this product!!

Don’t waste your $
People said it runs short and they weren’t joking. Measured my cat, trusted the size guide. The back measurement is off by about 2”. Maybe the actual length of material is correct, but the design of the neck and front leg holes is such that you’ll completely restrict the shoulder movement. My cat couldn’t walk with this on and we had to go back to the donut. Tried cutting the arm holes so the shoulder wasn’t so pinned back, but the neck opening still did the same thing. I would have returned it, but by the time it came, the cat wouldn’t need it. Waste of $ unless you have a cat with an oddly short body who doesn’t care about walking.

Overall good. Wish it had some stretch tho
It is a good design but I wish it came a bit longer. The fabric doesnt stretch. The large is a bit snug in my 17lb kitty. It takes a bit of time putting it on him as it has a lot of snaps to do up. Not easy to do on a cat that doesn't want to wear clothes. As I'm sure most cats do not.

Purrfecto 👌
Great except like another buyer said could use a little extra room on the length 🤷.. maybe half inch? Otherwise I'm happy and she's awkward but not as much as a cone would have made her .. I think it will help her to stay a little more chill too which is good for post -op... Thx Amazon

Adorable suit as alternative to the dreaded cone!
Great product and so comfortable that my cat fell asleep with it within minutes. It does not construct her limbs at all and does not limit her movement in anyway! Highly recommend this suit and might buy another to swap with this one while it is in the wash. I ordered the large for my petite cat who is just under 12 pounds and it fits with lots of wiggle room.
