OMG Smells Amazing!!!

Wow, this candle is a winner. It smells spot on to a nice warm crusty bagette bread fresh from the oven. I couldnt be happier with this purchase. I just ordered a second one for the in-laws to enjoy. I paired this with a 30" bagette pillow for a humorous white elephant gift. The whole house smells like fresh baked bread. I swear, you can almost taste the bread.

French Baguette is one of my favorite scents of Bath&Body candles, however, it’s a retired scent so it’s only offered a few times a year and typically sells out fast. I’ve also been increasingly disappointed that B&B candles seem to burn for way less time than they used to, despite the increasing price tag. As such, I’ve been on a mission to find a similar scented candle to that one since it is such a unique scent and I’ve never really smelt anything else like it. To my surprise, I think this candle is a pretty good dupe for it. It’s not quite as strongly scented, but I tend to like very overpowering scents that fill up my whole home and recognize I am probably in a minority of people who feel this way (perfume/candles don’t give me headaches), so for most I would say this is probably perfectly scented. But as far as similarity to the B&B candle, the notes are very similar: it’s got that same semi-sweet, yeasty smell, nostalgic of sourdough bread baking in the oven — not overly sweet or too much vanilla. The candle is also about twice the size/burn time, for less than the B&B candle too. Love lighting this before friends come over and it smells like you’ve been cooking them a wonderful Italian meal. Will definitely be buying again.

Well, I love it. Good throw, lingering scent. Great for one of those days you don't want florals, laundry, fruit or sweet scents. It reminds me of a baguette you've just taken from a panini press. It's one of Village Candles most expensive candle scents that I find here on Amazon. 😤 That's my only complaint.I can't imagine how some reviewer said it had no scent. I could smell it before I even opened the jar.

I have to admit, buying a candle online, had me a little skeptical, but it is exactly as was described. It smells exactly like a fresh baguette with butter, and the quality is fantastic! The product was packaged very well to prevent any breakage, and I will definitely be buying more products from the seller.

Amazon box arrived intact but taping was applied loosely. Opened the box to find 4 individual boxes w/the company’s name on them, Village Candle, & a label with the type & scent of the candles. As I began to open each box, I saw shards of broken glass on the bottom of the Amazon shipping box. One of the 4 candles was completely broken/shattered in its individual box so much I just left it in its box. Pieces of glass already came out of its box & was on the bottom of the Amazon box so it would have made more of a mess &/or possibly cut myself or a family member. I opened the other 3. There was an ‘oily’ type of film on the rims of the jars & the glass lids. However, I had hoped that the 3 that weren’t broken would fill my home (or at least one room) w/the scent of warm buttered toast. Not only did the 3 candles NOT smell like warm buttered toast, but the had no scent AT ALL!! Nothing! I’ve purchased candles before (from all different stores/places, not just Amazon) where the scent didn’t smell like what it should have smelled like, but they at least smelled like something! I burned the 3 remaining candles for approximately 2 hrs…. Nothing. These candles are a complete waste of money. I’ve purchased candles that cost a few dollars that were not nearly as cheaply made as these candles, & they at the very least had some aroma to them! I would have just returned the broken jar candles in it’s original box for obvious reasons, & kept the remaining 3 if they smelled like the scent described. Even if they didn’t smell like their description, I may have kept them if they had some kind of decent aroma. But these were a big waste of money for 4 completely unscented (& one totally shattered!), cheaply made, slippery from that ‘oil like’ film on the top of the jars & on their glass top lids. No way was I going to not return them. The 3 intact candles were useless. I’ve purchased candles so many times through Amazon from different companies for years & not once did I ever receive complete crap like these candles. I would not recommend these candles to anyone. Very disappointed. Like the candles having ZERO scent, I’d give them ZERO stars.
