Sharon Garlough Brown writes of women living in this broken world and surviving together with God. A wonderful combination of sisterhood offering support and prayer for each other. They have become my sisters in Christ as well. Thank you for the love lessons found in your stories and the biblical truths I apply to my own life.

I highly recommend this for anyone who wants grow in their faith and see the evidence of light in the darkness.

Such a great and fun book to read. I’m just falling in love with reading again after many years of not reading. Sharon Garlough Brown knocks it out of the park. This series is helping me grow spiritually; helping me grow closer to the Lord.

I don’t know that I can put into words how I’ve felt reading these books. I want to put the spiritual disciplines into practice, and I’ve felt the impact of the ways in which the author has used the scriptures to speak truth into the lives of her characters. I’ve taken lengthy notes, even, in the same way I would in a sermon or Bible study, and I want very much to attend a retreat like the one in the first book, with or without my friends. I love these books and highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

This series is awesome and a wonderful Bible study hopefully one day. Thank you for being a wonderful author to read these books.

I loved the characters and the gentle way Sharon Brown unfolds their growth in grace in Sensible Shoes. Two Steps Forward does not disappoint as the characters find that growth tested. Beautiful, challenging, comforting. I can't wait to start the next one.

These women with their complex life stories can be seen (and felt) as a compilation of one's own story in layers of life stages. The bond between the characters is developed through their individual challenges and their deepening walk with Christ. The vehicle of a novel to "teach" the spiritual formation journey is done in a masterful way.

Bought as a gift. Recipient loved it as much as "The Sensible Shoes" (which is a fantastic book), and has implored me to read it so we can discuss it together. I will do so then revisit this review.

I was looking forward to the follow up to Sensible Shoes and see how what the characters had learned was outworked in the days and weeks that followed their time on the spiritual journey course. As life has good and bad so were their experiences. But te difference being freed to choose to trust Christ through life's storms, deserts or sunshine was well done.Now I am looking forward to the sequel!

So much useful stuff for individuals and groups here. Topics for discussion etc. The words are so engaging. A Must Read!

I had really enjoyed the first book, and was not sure if a second one would live up to the same standard. But from the first page I was gripped again. Great way of story telling, and great in showing struggles, not by glib answers but by exploring faith.

Loved reading the book felt like I had met old friends after reading first book. Glad they were moving on and applying some of what the learned from the retreat but also glad everything wasn't completely fixed As life isn't like that!. Look forward to the next book.
