Good quality best 6 pounds
I just got this a few days ago and I wore it around my house for a few hours and in my backyard walking around. It does definitely add a decent amount of weight. I got 6 pounds because I have a bad back and I can’t be lifting or holding a lot of weight, but 6 pounds for me is definitely enough. It definitely gives you good support. I like the idea that it has a holder for your cell phone because I always need my cell phone on me. It does give you a decent amount to sweat as well if you’re walking on a treadmill or if you’re walking around your neighborhood, its definitely a good workout Vest so I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to build strength in their shoulders, chest area, and I love the idea that you can either loosen it or pull the Velcro more to make it tighter. Highly recommend.

Great purchase!
Vest arrived promptly. A several have said, there is a slight odor, but it seems to have dissipated. It was quite comfortable to wear although my shoulders will need to get used to it. I am 73 years old so I didn’t go 10% of my weight. The 12lb vest is plenty for me right now. I walk every day and today is the first day I was warm from the exercise. I was pleased with that as I can’t run due to breaking my feet several times. It felt good to feel like I had a light workout.

Fit & feels great, does have an odor...
Great weighted vest! 1 star off for odor, smells like auto parts for sure Lol Should have gone with my gut feeling and went with the 20 lb. vest (5'5, 168 lbs). Purchased the 16 lb. vest and it was way too light. Walked 3 miles, felt comforting but didn't feel like it was enhancing my workout. Fortunately, they accept returns! Returned today and purchasing the 20 lbs. It does smell and it will transfer to your clothes, so don't wear your best t shirt or anything underneath. You can wipe it down to alleviate some of the odor and I left it sitting next to the window for a couple of days. Still repurchasing despite the odor, it's not noticeable at all when you are outside in the fresh air, but if you're wearing this around the house, might give you a headache/nausea. Fits great over my chest (38C), plenty of adjustable strap for larger busted women. I do recommend!

Glad I purchased this!!
I’ve started wearing this vest while walking and running. I love it! Gives you a better work out. Fits well and feels comfortable! I ordered the 20lb. vest and when I picked up the box to open it was worried at first it would be too much but once I got it on it good. Seems to be very durable!

Works great, does have a smell.
Feels durable and is comfortable to wear. It does smell like a car mechanic shop when you open it, and it hasn’t quite dissipated yet. I only wear it outside so it’s not terrible, but is noticeable.

I have a love-hate relationship with this vest! LOL
I ordered the 12lb vest and this definitely ups the intensity of walks, runs and lifting!Material- The material is not sweat-proof, but it dries quickly and doesn't smell like my sweat.Weight Distribution- it feels like sand or metal pellets are probably inside, the stitching is sturdy and despite wearing this on runs, the weight distribution hasn't shifted. It feels level/balanced.Safety- there are some reflective pieces that increase visibility and improve safetyTightness- I am a smaller-bodied person and the strap is able to cinch tightly and stay in place

A good investment for daily workouts.
I’ve had this bad boy since 2022 and it’s been holding up since then. It’s not uncomfortable and it does hold up in any workout routine or in my case walking AND skating around my neighborhood. I THINK the one I have is 30lbs but it just feels lighter to me since I’ve been wearing for a while. I just started wearing it again cause I’m trying to cut weight at the moment but I suggest you buy it now

Good quality, has a chemical smell
We opted for the 20-lb vest for hiking and treadmill / outdoor walking. Everyone is the family uses it at least for treadmill walks (our 10-year old likes it a lot for treadmill walking).WeightSurprisingly the vest weighs in at exactly 20 lbs on our home scale. By comparison, a 30-lb kettlebell weighs 30.6. So either the 20-lb vest is .4 under, or the kettlebell is .6 too heavy and the vest is perfectly 20 lbs.Fit & UsesNot flashy or loud, this vest is unassuming and seems to focus on getting the job done. We wish there was a second strap that connected the lower portion of the vest. There is only a strap that clips across the upper chest. When running, the lower area moves around a lot more than desired. It's not very good for making certain exercises more challenging, like yoga or rock climbing. Because it has just the one strap along the top, the entire vest moves a lot if you are inverted or just about any position other than upright. If wearing it during weight lifting or body weight exercises like push-ups, the bulk of the vest can get in the way because the weight is packed into, and distributed, under the arm pits and sides on the vest. This is great for more balance when upright just walking or some low intensity running, but it means your arms constantly rub against these parts of the vest.SmellOut of the box, there is a noticeable chemical or oil/gasoline like smell. My wife smelled it strongly. I smelled it mildly, but it's definitely there. Some say that it will go away after a "little while". Not sure how long that really is, because nearly 2 months later, there is still the same smell. The vest was even accidentally left out in 2 days of rain. After drying it on low (using a shoe rack in the dryer), the smell persist. A bit less now, by it has not gone completely away. Some people how are more sensitive to this type of scent may find the vest too difficult to wear. I'm able to ignore it and use the vest, as the smell is not so strong for me.ExerciseI mostly use it for speed walking on the treadmill with 3% incline. Getting the vest was intended to help me reach higher heart rates without having to run or use very high inclines (ankle injury). Previously, I could reach an average HR of about 115 bpm. With the vest on, and the treadmill at the same settings, my HR averages about 125. So a decent improvement without forcing a higher incline or speed that would cause my ankle injury to be more painful. I should have probably gone with a 25-lbs vest.
