did a major overhaul of a "disappearing" fountain, and replace the existing pump. this pump provided increase in flow rate which makes the fountain look better. The variable speed control is excellent and appears to be weatherproofing. I did have to order a waterproof electrical enclosure to keep AC/DC transformer protected from the outdoors. That did add about $15 to the cost of the project but the pump itself worked as prescribed and is completely silent as far as I can tell. I expect the DC motor to last a long time. Lots of pumps to choose from and I am glad I chose this one.

Very efficient pump. Very easy to set up and use in my aquaponics system. Adjustable flow rate and 24v for my pond aquaponics system.

Long time aquatic hobbyist (Reef tanks, Fish only saltwater, Ponds, Waterfalls+++). I've found all pumps "hum" over the years; not this one. This pump is inaudible! I couldn't tell it was running when I plugged it in until the flow of water started down the waterfall. The flow regulation is a cool advanced feature but the complete silence still astounds me.

This pump is in use in our 400+ gallon outdoor pond. It pulls from an in pond skimmer, and discharges to a k1 bio filter, then through a UV light, finally discharging to a waterfall. I mounted the control pad beneath the railing of our deck overlooking the pond (had to buy an extension). From the deck we can pause the pump during feeding, or pause the pump to clean the skimmer basket - after 10 minutes the pump starts back up without any issues. The variable speed has worked great - when we added the UV light it created a flow restriction, but all I had to do is drop the pump speed a little bit. This pump works great, we love it!

**WARNING THIS REVIEW MAY ONLY APPLY AS A DEFECT TO THE PUMP I RECEIVED** Great pump, unfortunately I am not sure if this is a defect for the one I received but after using it in my 75 gallon reef system with a 29 gallon sump for less than a year it was the cause of my whole tank dying. The cause was from contamination of rust developing on the propeller.I am lost for words, since I am sure all hobbyist must know how much time and money I've spent in the first year of establishing my reef tank. I couldn't figure out what the problem was till it was too late. And only after breaking the entire tank and equipment down for cleaning to set up again, I finally realized the cause of my tank to die was toxic from rust on the propeller and housing of the pump.I will say this though, a great pump and like previously stated I do not know if this incident was a defect from the pump I received or if this pump shouldn't be used on saltwater systems.So sad, since I love hygger products.

This return pump it completely silent. However, when I use the feed mode or turn the pump on or off the water level in my overflow and return chamber need adjustments every time.

Absolutely LOVE this pump. It's been in use since Sept/Oct of 2023 without issue, and has honestly been rock solid. My previous return pump (Reef Octopus VarioS-6 ), cost me about 4 times as much, but refused to keep a consistent flow for more than a few days. I had to keep adjusting the gate valve from my overflow to keep my sump water level where it needed to be, which as you can imagine was infuriating. Even after cleaning it, the flow would be ok for a few days then start dropping.Anyway, I honestly didn't expect much from this pump - but man was I wrong. It's dead silent, has never had any issues whatsoever and has been amazingly consistent for me. If you are on the fence, give it a shot before buying one of the overpriced "premier" pumps. I will 100% be buying another for a backup, and if I start up another tank, this pump will absolutely be on the build list.

This unit is twice as quite as my older pump. bought this as a replacement for my 10 year old sump pump. very quite and powerful, really gets the system circulated.
