Never Read Manga, Try This!
I am almost 40 years old and have never read a manga. I have watched a few anime shows but just never jumped into manga. Heard about the concept for this, read a few pages and decided to take a shot. This book is great. Really entertaining, love the artwork and characters. If you have never read manga, go ahead and take a chance with this one. I really enjoyed it and have the next couple volumes heading my way!

Good book, somewhat short, and a few other notes...
I bought this having already watched the anime in it's entirety as I wanted to see what bits and pieces made it in / what didn't, and any visual differences for fun.If you've already watched the anime, the first volume here is virtually identical sans a few minor styling choices and seems to cover episodes 1-3 (well, up to 3/4s of the third episode). There's only 1 particularly noteworthy scene very early on that wasn't included in the anime, and the anime has a few scene extensions vs what's shown in-book.It's definitely worth it on the basis that it's like a whopping $6-7 as of writing alone if you really like the show and want to have it for the sake of having it. That being said however even if you're buying it blind, seriously consider buying the other volumes along with it. It's ~190?-ish pages and you can definitely blast through it in one sitting.

I LOVE THAT FAT DOG!
I love that fat chainsaw dog Pochita so much, it's so huggable and fat, I wish I could pick it up and hug it and squeeze it and take a nap with it.I thought the part where he was crying when the chainsaw guy was looking for him was so sad yet cute. I wish really bad that I had a fat chainsaw puppy IRL, and he could help me cut trees, then snuggle with me and give me hugs then take a nap with me.I think that fat puppy really makes the story, and I hope they show him more in the next volume. (I ordered it.) I'm really hoping he doesn't disappear forever, because that will make me very mad and sad.FIVE STARS.

It's Chainsaw Man
I have reviewed other anime and manga books and this is not one of my personal favorites for younger pre-teens. I find it more violent that Naruto, Blue Exorcist, and Demon Slayer, but at the same time it's about a young man who turns into "Chainsaw Man", so it's what you expect in terms of blood and gore. I also find some of the sexual content to be too mature for pre-teens. I would not recommend it for that age group. However, the book itself is nicely done and is offered at a really good price compared to the bookstores in our area. I gave it 4-stars because of the nature of the book, not the book itself.
