Good quality for a rotary tool. It is a pity that it does not accept ER11 collets.
I bought this router despite some criticism on quality. I think that there are many virtualy identical routers of this type under different names, sharing the same design. So the first thing I checked was balancing and the quality of collet socket. They appeared very good. It came with a single collet for 1/4" bit. I was hoping that conical socket will allow me to use standard ER11 collets. But it fact neither the thread nor the angle of this socket was compatible, this one has 15 degree on the side while ER11 has 8 degrees. While it might be possible to regrind it, I decided to make few more for popular bit sizes - as shown in the pictures. The shortest one pictured is the collect which came with the router.I mounted this router in toolholder of a lathe (that was original purpose of purchase), and I am happy so far with balance, concentricity and size.Reviewing it for woodworking, I would say that plastic holder and few metal parts which come with it are not as good. The spacing in plastic immediately fills with dust and not allowing to observe the work parts. The plastic is also not strong enough to do some semi-professional cutting. So as the woodworkers' palm trimmer I would give it 3 stars. One may want to look for other ones where these parts are made with cast alloy and heavy-duty. These would of course be more expensive. But I do not use these parts, so the tool itself is quite good.

Will do the job
Reasonably good for the price. I am skiddish when it comes to this type of tool, but it has always felt very controlable in my hand. I do make sure I am not taking a too aggressive cut given the size. Supplied tooling for tightening this thing is straight garbage, but this does require a very narrow wench to tighten. I welded a solution, if you can't do the same you will have to work it out some how. 4 stars is probably 1/3 a star too much, but whatever, I was able to acceptably do a few tabletops and other projects so far without it burning out and it takes up very little space in the shop.

Check the bottom plastic see thru plate. The 4 mounting screws were hanging too low
This little palm router is, so far a great little tool for the money. Seems to be made well. The plastic bottom plate works fine. If I was to rate it, I would give it a 5 full stars. I really like this tool. The 4 mounting screws were not set deep enough so when I take a cut the screw heads hit the surface i'm sitting on. I chose to grind off the tops of the bolt heads myself. I'm a tool & die maker so this was a non issue. Otherwise you need shorter screws or a clearance hole all the way thru the plate to let the screws go deeper. I needed it last night so this worked well for me.I would definitely buy again and recommend to other people.

CNC Compatible
Bought this router to upgrade my CNC. The router came well packaged with all the accessories. I first measured the barrel of the router to see if it would fit in my spindle bracket that came with my FoxAlien Masuter CNC. The barrel measured 62.63 mm (2.5 in) which was a good fit for my CNC. I bench tested the router by turning it on and let it run without any stress on the motor. Within seconds I noticed the collet end heating up. Within a minute it was almost too hot to touch. I presumed the bearing was bad (if it had one). I also determined that the collet was incompatible with the EC11 collet that came installed on the CNC. This prevented me from using the 1/4" EC11 collet I had intended to use with the new router. Long story short, I returned the router.

Only worked for 30 minutes
When I first opened the package, the router seemed pretty solid. Was easy to set up and use. Unfortunately it only worked for 30 minutes rounding over a soft wood edge. It got hot, but not enough to hold on to.The router just stopped working. Would not even work after letting it cool down. The Amazon returns went pretty smooth. I would recommend a different product.

Ease of use and great value
The few times I've used the hand held router I found it too be easy to use and the end project was excellent. If you're looking for a small hand held router for a decent price, this is the one, I highly recommend it.

DANGEROUS - From a professional woodworker well experienced with power tools
The media could not be loaded. AMAZON, SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT WITH THIS. IF YOU GET HURT, PLEASE USE THIS AS A NOTICE THAT I HAVE WARNED AMAZON.I AM AN IDIOT FOR TRUSTING A $25 ROUTER. Just about as stupid as buying a cheap chainsaw or motorcycle helmet. This Router is very poorly made and dangerous. The Clamp does not tighten by design. It's plastic. I tightened it as tight as it could get. See photo I turned it on with a bit and it slid out of the clamp. Destroying my work, luckily missing my hand. The video shows the router firmly tightened in the clamp while I tug on the base with one hand. The router falls out.
