Best (lightest, strongest, longest-lasting & compact) reciprocating saw on the market! Beats the hell outta all the other cordless models ... hands-down ... and, it only weighs about half what the other bulky unwieldy models weigh ... with better power and maneuverability, too!

I prefer the renewed version. It will quickly be "used" by me anyway and it's for a good price. Just buy the replacement batteries

No power
I read reviews saying it is no power and lo and behold. It has no power. I’m thinking the refurbished tools on Amazon are a bad idea altogether now. Don’t get this tool.

Mikita is the best
I like Mikita battery powered tools. I have a number of them i use on a daily basis. I have a full size Mikita "Sawsall" for years but needed something lighter and smaller to use in confined space. This one fits the bill although with some minor issues it takes some getting use to. The light weight and shorter stroke (1/2) means you may have to apply more down pressure to help it cut. The safety features on the triggers (2) can make it confusing to grasp at times. It takes all of the 18volt Mikita batteries.

The cordless reciprocating saw works as expected.
The tool arrived very quickly. Have used it twice in the past week and have plans to use it several times over the next couple of weeks.

Saw when you need.
Bought the saw for the tight areas that a regular sawzall has difficulty getting into. I’m sure the the Makita saw well not disappoint.
