Wonderful time saver!
If you've ever plucked a chicken by hand, you will know that is the worst part of the entire process. This takes a 10 minute task down to 15 seconds.Works very well as described so can't add much more to why you need this. However, I would add some considerations and things to watch out for.1) Make sure your scalding water is ~150. Keep the chicken in there until the wing feathers are easy to pull out2) The power switch is in a rough spot, below the drum. Not the easiest to turn on the machine while holding the bird3) Ensure you have water close by to run water over the chicken as it is tossed around the machine. If working alone, I have put the hose on top of a ladder pointed down toward the drum so I can turn on after the machine is on, with one hand4) Run until clean, turn off power, and then rinse off feathers with water that are stuck to the fingers. As others have mentioned - the power cord is rather small and runs past where the wet feathers come out. It seems very easy that water can get to where you plug in the power to the extension cord. What I have done is wrap a plastic bag around where the power is connected and to cover/tape it up. A bit of extra work up front but better safe than sorry.I would also recommend getting a plastic bucket that fits snugly between ground and feather chute. Drill holes throughout the bucket so feathers can drain out water in between birds without having an overly gloppy feathery mess.

Works fantastic with proper scalding
We finally got around to butchering our broilers and used our plucker. I could not be more pleased with it. Proper scalding makes all the difference in the world. We bathed the killed birds in 145 degree water for 90 seconds and the plucking went very well. My daughter wanted to keep the feet and the plucker skinned those with ease. Just make sure the feet are scalded as well. We did 50 birds total and just put one bird at a time in the machine. I tried two birds and it worked fine but at the pace we were processing, 1 bird at a time was easiest to manage. I did not try more than two birds so I can't comment on capacity. Clean-up is easy although feathers do get stuck around the base of the rubber fingers so if you want to get it really clean, you need to manually remove those.

Good plucker
We have used this for our meat birds and it worked great. Easy to put together, use turn in and off and clean. I had researched several brands and this is the one I chose. It’s sturdy and a good value.

Good Quality-Works Well
Assembly was a no brainer,, even with the scant instructions. Don't just attach the bottom plate as is. It comes kinda squished into the drum (which is upside down).Used it today with some mallard ducks. I've about 30 to go. It didn't remove all the feathers, but there weren't many to pluck. Last time I plucked one by hand took me 30 minutes, and I still couldn't get all the down off. This took all the down and most feathers off in about 2 minutes. Very nice. And all the feathers dropped down in a tidy clump underneath.

Works perfectly
I wanted to wait awhile to post my review but some of these reviews….. Okay, we plucked 18 chickens , one at a time in this plucker and never had an issue. It has so far worked perfectly for me. The quality seems to be great so far. Hoping it lasts for awhile!! It’s very easy to use, bigger than I thought it would be but not a complaint. It’s very very expensive, if it lasts like I’m hoping it will, it’ll be well worth the money. 🤞

Destroys chickens
This plucker is not designed right. My chickens got destroyed by getting stuff between the side pluckers and the bottom plate

Quick and easy!
This made processing so much quicker than by hand. Great product. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to improve the speed of the processing.

Solid machine
We raised meat chickens this year and this guy got us through 50 of them nicely and also a large Muscovy duck.Pros:+Wheels are great for transporting to processing site.+ Drum is removable, and spraying clears it up easily.Cons:-the duck feathers were so large it clogged the drain and stopped the motor. So we turned it off and removed the blockages and it resumed nicely.-switch is under the machine, so there's definite over spray that happens.-cord could be longer. We elevated the extension cord connection to keep it clear of water/debris.Towards the end of our processing season for some reason it failed to remove all feathers from ducks or chickens. This might be purely user error, I'm not sure. So we had to finish hand plucking to varying degrees, annoying, but 70-90% was done by the machine so better than nothing. We have other friends who got a brand by Vevor and after their first use the motor burned up. So far ours hasn't wavered. I would buy this again.
