Initial install was relativly easy and setting up the WiFi went well. Software supplied was a little basic but worked as expected. One small bug is that your day setting must start and stop within the same day. i.e. If your like me who often go to sleep at 1am, you cant have the last setting of the day to finish at 12:30 am as it confuses the schedule and puts you into the wrong schedule. There is no documentation on this but was easy enough for me to work around. Also once set up, create Automated programs and intergrating with Google assistance worked well.The reason for the 1 star is after 5 months of use, the screen is no longer working. Can still operate through the App. I would expect a product that sits on a wall and hardly gets touch to last longer so makes it very dificult to recommend.

I have just bought and fitted a 2nd one of these after buying one to try and finding it was excellent.Easy to install just a note that to release the LCD front panel in order to fit the unit they say "Rotate it" which is a bit confusing.What you need to do is holding the back of the unit apply upward pressure to the front LCD casing and it will slide up and give a click as it releases. You are then left with the front LCD on the end of a flexi cable. Some sort of quick and easy release would have been a good idea so you don't break the cable by accident when fitting. There is a cable connector on the main body but it is very delicate and I would not try to release using that.Apart form that it is a great product for the price and works well with Amazon Alexa using the TUYA smart app.

Bought this to replace a basic thermostat to a Potterton boiler. During installation, I needed to add an insulated live wire from terminal 4 to terminal 1 so that when the thermostat demand switches ON there is a live to power the boiler. Check your boiler takes mains (should do) or it could be costly. If this means nothing, get a pro installer.Looks sleek with a standard pattress box in the wall to house the gubbins. Mounting plate slides not twists and you may need to prize the 4 metal retainers open a little with pliers so that it slides back on.App setup is straight forward enough but additionally, you must verify your phone number in profile before setting the Alexa skill or it won't pair. Alexa picks up the thermostat automatically no need to search. Ask Alexa to set temperature to x degrees and it works perfectly. Love it, and such good value at around 40 quid.

First impressions very positive.Much more straightforward to setup than the one it replaced. Easy to connect to Wifi and enable iOS application - reprogrammed my initial settings though after powering down. Don't bother with the front as it's easier in the application. Has a device name and location as separate names (now set to both be kitchen). Instructions for connecting to Alexa in the application, and fairly quick to do - need to add a skill within the Alexa application...then sorted.I think I'll be ordering a couple more...

Physically easy to install but wiring it up was an experimental pain as the manual is very sketchy. 5 differing attempts with the wiring, including link wires between terminals, between the boiler and thermostat and it worked! The old fashioned, 2.4GHz, wi-fi connection is a pain so we use it manually on the touchscreen. Now, after 4 months of perfect use, the screen is failing and it's timechip is failing by about 10 minutes per day. Very disappointing. I was thinking of buying a 2nd thermostat for upstairs but will have to look elsewhere.

I have had this for almost a year and am extremely impressed with it. It controls my oil fired central heating and I use it to monitor the temperature in my main living area in such a way that if it is set to 24C all the TRVs will control their room temperatures to the comfort level required and, if this is set to a lower temperature, the system will be adjusted accordingly. It is extremely accurate and reliable. I don't bother with programming it; I just tell Alexa what I want! I tell it to set 15C when I go to bed, unless it is very cold, and to set 21 - 23C when I wake up. If I am on holiday, I can tell it what to do via the Alexa app. The temperature accuracy is spot on to 1/2 degree and it is very satisfying to say "set thermostat to xxC" and see the desired setting appear on its display.It seems to be able to cope with power outages and recover; it has never lost the wifi signal, unlike many smart devices.I recommend it without reservation. It will now probably fail tomorrow:-)

Got this because I live alone and it’s useful to turn on heating ahead of me getting home some days. I went away once and forgot the heating was on and was awesome to be able to turn it off from somewhere else. I tried using it with Alexa but it kind of disconnected itself and won’t really work again. I don’t care but if you really want to use with Alexa I would probably look else where because it’s not really great. But the app my thermostat is great. Works on the button.

Bought to replace one of the two mechanical stats in my house and I love it. The stat arrived ahead of schedule, was easy to install and set up and easy to control from the device its self and the app.Things that could be improved:1) when using schedules the temperature can not be manually adjusted from the device or the app without first switching back to 'manual mode'2) when in schedule mode, information about the current set temperature is wrong in both the app and via Google Home etc - they both report the previous manually set temperature and not the one set by the scheduleI'll definitely be buying anoyher to replace the other mechanical one in my house
