The North Face Base Camp Duffel Large (Summit Gold/TNF Black - L)

This bag comes exactly as advertised! I've been using it for several months now and so far hasn't developed any tears or holes. I have not been gentle with it. It holds all the gear I need for my shift. I left this thing out in the rain for a good 40 minutes and everything inside was dry with the exception of some droplets. The zipper was pretty stiff to begin with, however now that I've had a chance to break it in it works fine. Definitely reccomend this bag.Update: used this thing in the oilfields in ND for 2 years and it managed to keep up with me the whole time. Left it out in -40°F weather as well as 110°F. It got covered in all kinds of chemicals (hydrochloric acid being one of them) and oil and grease and it still wouldn't give up. I regretfully got rid of it when I got laid off as it's time had come. After two years it only had 2 small holes from ware and the zipper no longer worked.I cannot recommend this bag enough, I am still surprised at how durable this thing is. I really, really punished this bag and it kept going till the end.

4lbs empty, but feels surprisingly lighter like 2lbs. Holds weight very well compared to an old wheeled bag. Would buy again. Wish they made pink.This large size (95L) fits more objects easier than a generic wheeled 109L bag, which was very suprising to me. I was debating L vs. XL for 2 days. L was the way to go. XL will go down past your butt with the backpack straps, making walking harder. This stops just short of my butt. 6'0" tall. Some say 6'1", some say 5'11".

I have three of these bags in Large, X-Large, and XXL. First trip was to the Galapagos in '08. Still going strong.

This thing is massive and tough, it worked perfectly for a three week trip through Vietnam. Its bright yellow color enabled me to spot it easily at baggage claims. You can carry this as a backpack but be aware, you can easily pack 80lbs in there so better practice your squats first

This is the perfect duffle for a long weekend trip. The material is very durable. I recently used mine for a ski weekend, and was able to stuff everything plus my boots. The straps, while different are ultimately ideal, since you can wear it as a back pack.

bag rocks, its almost too big.

Bought for Kilimanjaro climb. Everything stayed dry. Crammed it full and added sleeping bag inside somethow and zippers stayed intact. Cable locked the zippers for airport. Shoulder straps are suprisingly comfortable for a duffel bag on your back. I'm sure I'll use this bag over and over.

Great all around bag that can be used for hoping on a plane or weekend canoe trip. Worth every penny!!!
