St. Joseph New Catholic Bible (Giant Type)

A very large bible with large type. Easy to read. This new translation is so readable that it’s like reading a novel you can’t put down.The only drawback is it’s weight. I tell everyone it’s for Catholic physical therapy!

I highly recommend this edition Bible to anyone who is looking for Big Print, and High Quality in all areas this Bible is the best.

This is a very nice Bible and the translation is very good - understandable. It is very heavy and I only use it when I can set it on a table or desk. I also ordered a personal size and it is easier to hold and use without the support of a table.

Absolutely love this Bible!!! So well put together, awesome materials from cover to inside pages and lots of pictures, i love the pages showing timeline, easy finding of the Miracles and Parables of Jesus, and much more important prayers. Great, Great Bible...

Explanatory notes are at the end of each book. It's clumsy going back and forth, so keep pen and paper to log the notes you want to visit after each chapter. I bought he Large Print RSV, it is great except it has no notes or any helpful aids. "The New Catholic Bible" has everything, notes, pictures, maps, etc.. I like it!

Very easy to read, and illustrations extremely helpful.

This is a beautiful bible and well worth the buy. The page font size is 14 and the Notes section uses a font size of about 8 - 9. It includes stunning photos, maps and some devotionals like the Holy Rosary and the Stations of the Cross. The bible has one yellow ribbon, but there's considerable space in the binding to easily add a multiple ribbon marker insert, if you prefer to have more. Christ's words are not in red. Truly, it's beautifully made.The only reason I gave this bible a 4 stars is because of two personal preferences:1. I don't care for the double column format. For me, a single column provides such a better reading flow. I hope they try that out at some point.And 2. This is a really large bible and quite heavy. That's not a bad thing for me personally because I leave my bible at my study desk most of the time. However, please consider that if you tend to take yours to church or carry it from room to room.
