This cheese is very expensive to purchase, but is of high quality as occasional treat and delivered completely chilled. The cheese blocks are fairly small, but definitely delicious

Sliced put on buttered french bread. Super good!

The package arrived intact from Norsland Lefse, sturdily wrapped in three bubble wrap envelopes, the inner one metalicised. The cheese was cold and firm (not warm & melted as other people said in the comments) even though the cold ice pack was melted. The Norwegian brown cheese, from Norsland Lefse in Minnesota, was rich tasting with lots of flavor and had a mild sweetness like I remembered it when I traveled in Norway years ago. I had been looking for that cheese in stores for years and could not find it. I'm glad Norsland Lefse carries it on Amazon. It is definitely a value for the money. It reminded me of traveling in Norway, such a beautiful country with the fiords, the high mountains, and friendly people. I immediately stored it in the freezer like Norsland lefse recommended. Even though I've never bought products from Norsland Lefse, on Amazon or anywhere else, I keep mentioning the store I bought the cheese from, Norsland Lefse, because Amazon has a bad habit of lumping many companies, that sell the same or similar products, in together, and you cannot tell, if the product and the company selling it, are what people are talking about in the comments! Amazon, get real; we read the comments to find out if the product advertised is what it says it is! I cannot say enough about the quality of the product (Ski Queen classic creamy caramel cheese in the orange wrapper) and the wonderful, quality service of Norsland Lefse in Minnesota. I will definitely buy again from Norsland Lefse!

Tastes like nothing else. Really cool thing to spoil yourself

I love this cheese. I was brought up on it, my grandmother and I eating gjetost cheese and kanacebrod for breakfast. It is expensive nowadays so I buy it for special occasions. It is rich and creamy with an earthy taste and I remember those innocent days.

First taste reminded me of a diluted Kraft caramel, with a slightly salty ending. It didn’t improve after that. I was intrigued by the description and wanted to try it but I won’t bother eating any more of it. It didn’t taste bad, it just doesn’t taste like cheese to me. I’m giving it 3 stars because the cheese wasn’t at fault; it’s just not appealing to me.

I was introduced to this cheese when I was young and I cannot find it in any store anywhere! When I saw it on Amazon, I had to order it. It’s a little expensive but it’s worth it if you’ve never tried it you should you might really enjoy it. It’s very rich and creamy.
