While this seemed a bit expensive at first glance, the quality of this set leaves me feeling I got more than I paid for and expected to receive. The packaging is excellent, the machining is finely precise and the appearance of the set moves it from the realm of a toy to that of a playable piece of art. The 1st top I tried spun so straight and long that I lightly touched it after 3-4 minutes, thinking it had stopped and magically balanced itself in a perfectly straight position. It hadn't stopped and in spite of my tap it continued to spin after wobbling a little for another couple of minutes. Nice.I suggest you read the "About" portion on the product page. Many of these "About" sections are utter PR based B.S., but in this case the commitment to quality, knowledge, and ethics passed on from grandfather to son mentioned by the owner all come across as very true when it gets down to the final result, the products they sell to us.I'm too lazy to check how long this seller has been on Amazon, but I'm surprised that products this well made aren't higher in the sales placement rankings. They most certainly deserve it in my opinion.Now I'm off to their website to buy some more delayed Christmas presents for myself to make up for all the ones I think I deserved but didn't get! I don't think the 15 tons of coal family members had piled in my back yard Christmas Eve qualifies as a gift because I can't even legally burn it. I really don't understand why I got a 25' tall pile of dirty coal in the first place. Receiving it seems to be contrary to the old belief that only bad, greedy, self-centered people (such as those who write reviews for Christmas gifts they buy for themselves) get coal for Christmas.I didn't even have a single chance to be publicly bad in person this year, being stuck in my house & isolated like countless others. I don't think being virtually bad using Zoom, Skype, Meetings, etc. should count on the naughty or nice Christmas list. Hey, I could have been victimized by some evil hacker who deep-faked video of me being bad! Yeah, that's it. Me being an a** by wrecking family Zoom meetings with idiotic behavior, comments and video effects was some dark web intertubes guy lurking in a dank Russian basement making believe they were me for a totally unknown reason. What a jerk!Hmmmm. Reading the above is making me think I may have overdone the isolation stuff with me becoming a teeny bit paranoid as a result. Maybe I should step outside my house once a month, waving and yelling from a safe distance, "How are you?", at a random passersby to possibly reduce a little of the insanity caused by social deprivation.Anyhow...this is an excellent, finely made top set and I recommend you give it a try.

This top and base set looks absolutely beautiful. The tops are some of the most beautiful I have seen. The brass and the stainless tops have a highly polished finish that is really something to behold. The base is obviously precision-made. The wooden surround should protect the tops from being damaged by the edge of the glass. And it's great for display.The best performer by quite a way is the aluminium and brass top. It is the only one I have had spin for over ten minutes. The solid brass top was at the lower end, at about six minutes. The time will be different for everybody though. I love the whole set. It is a visual and tactile journey through precision and excellence.The set is exquisitely presented, with each top in a drawstring pouch, inside its own little box. The base is also boxed, and all items are together in a larger gift box. All the boxes are branded. The set would make a seriously fine gift. Very cool Thank you :)

If I had to do it all over again, I would probably just buy the two toned top; since it spins the longest & the entire set is so pricey, but I am still satisfied with my purchase. All of the tops are very nice & made with precision. No complaints.

I am a beginner spinner, and this is my first set of tops. What I like about this brand is that you do need lots of practice and the spinners won't jump all over when they stop like seen in videos of other brands. Also, I get a feel of four different materials, a nice base, and a fair price. Not sure if I will expand to more challenging tops, but this is a handsome, and quality start.

Love the set! Perfect for when I need a mental break from a day full of zooms and conference calls and meetings and emails. I’ve kept in my home office, but it also has been fun after work with the family. Everyone claims a top and the spinning begins. Our competitiveness is coming out! All four tops get incredible spin times on the base! It’s addicting to watch them spin. The spin base is definitely high quality and looks great on my desk. Love that all four tops can be displayed on it. And as someone who enjoys wood working, I can appreciate the precision that goes into both making such high quality tops and the base as well. The set came packaged very nicely. Definitely adding this to our list of gifts for family and friends for Christmas-perfect for the person who you don’t know what to get!

Each top spins in its own way because they are all made of different materials which gives them unique weight and endurance. I have it on my desk and use it in between working periods, you could say it is my fidget tool. All in all, it may seem pricey but to anyone looking for a set of unique beginner tops, you can’t beat this price and quality. I’ve even dropped a few of them on the floor by accident and no damage was noticed.
