Char-Broil® Patio Bistro® TRU-Infrared™ Electric Grill, Red – 20602109

This is a great grill. I have had it for several years and it has endured multiple Chicago winters and still keeps working. No rust or corrosion.

As others have stated, there is a maximum amount of wattage thar a normal household outlet will allow. In the US, that is 15 amps or approximately 1600 watts. This means that this little guy will not get super hot, but it gets hot enough. It grills food well. I like to spray a little basting sauce (mostly cooking oil) on the grate occasionally to add smoke. I have found it lacking in nothing in terms of flavor, grill marks or heat distribution. I cook on number 5 always, and that is enough to grill, but never burn. As others have mentioned. The temperature gauge is not all that accurate, but it is also unnecessary. Set the dial to 5 and cook. That'd it. It was a more complicated build than I imagined, but I like that stuff. I do wish that the grill had a built in shelf. I believe the previous model did. I believe that the feature wa as deleted as it could have caused tipping problems. I justuse an old TV tray next to the grill. It isso easy, convenient and attractive that it compliments any outdoor space. Never have to buy propane. Never had a flare up. The grates are fairly non stick and are much better than the thin wire bars of some grills. Because it is so simple and easy, I do most all of my cooking on it.

Cooks evenly, easy to clean perfect for condo deck. Needs to heat up a bit before use but once heated it cooks quite fast.

Ok so I love electric grills. Reality is you can get a great steak with flavor if seasoned correctly. There is no real danger of exploding gas and convenient. I would recommend also having a Weber Charcoal as well for special occasions. Now to the review… This is good and provides a great steak. Only issue is that it does not heat up fast and has no internal insulation on the inside so you lose lots of heat(as others have stated.) My Weber electric kicked the bucket after 6 years and simply did not want to spend the money. I like the porcelain grates though they use the heating element for securing them. Seems like that could become a failure point over time after many cleanings. Nice thing is this can use a 15 amp circuit which is typically outdoors. The cover is also pretty good. I would recommend letting it heat on high for about 30 minutes before cooking and allowing meat to cook longer as this loses heat quickly. Otherwise decent product and worth $200 or so.

Perfect for our needs in a condo setting! Just the right size. Very sturdy and easy to assemble! Works great, too!

Update. Read the one star reviews. We used this weekly. It started tripping the breaker. Then the plug melted. But the worst is, even after cleaning after every use, the grease from hamburgers dripped down and flames! Big tall flames pouring out. Happened a couple of times but the last time it was in the front where the electronics are. Stopped working. Came back here and it's caught fire for multiple people. If you like your eyebrows, skip this one. My husband got a smoke box, puts wood chips in and has grilled almost every day since we got it. Hamburgers, hot dogs, steak, shrimp, kabobs, chicken, everything is delicious, cooks quickly. Perfect size for the deck, easy to use and was easy to put together.

Muy Fácil de usar. Se la regale a mi esposo, le encanto. Siempre la usamos en el balcon, la puedes colocar en cualquier lado porque no Ocupa mucho espacio. Cocina rápido y no produce humo.

This is my 2nd one. Only sold first one because we moved distance. It works awesome. You just can't open the lid to often while cooking because it looses its heat fast.

It is an electric grill and works as expected. Not being a gas grill, the heat is not as quick and hot but still able to grill for about 4 people. Does take a bit more time, but happy with the end result. Overall quality is really good and assemble nicely with parts fitting together. As to grill not reaching high temperature on the gauge which is true, but the gauge is at the top part of the cover which should be expected. The grill surface is still plenty hot to cook food.

It works amazing! Loses heat fast but I don't really care as I'm not looking to be a grill expert on an electric bbq. I've tried burgers, mushrooms, and pork tenderloin. All came out beautifully and 10x better than in the oven or cast iron pan. worth the money and will be buying the cover soon.

Recibí el producto el 1 de abril del 2023 y para el 7 de junio el heater element (resistencia de calor) ya no servía..!!!! Hizo corto comenzó a quemarse. Solo 2 meses después. Creo que charbroil no está fabricando productos de calidad ….

Y’a no funciona después de 4 meses y pagamos mas de 6000 pesos el problema con Amazon no hay garantía
