Great for leather repair
As an avid leathercraft enthusiast, I recently added Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement to my toolkit, and it has proven to be an indispensable companion for various projects. Here's why this leather glue stands out in the realm of crafting and repairs: Quick Drying for Efficiency: One of the standout features of Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement is its rapid drying time. The quick-drying formula expedites the crafting or repair process, allowing for efficient and continuous work without the prolonged waiting periods commonly associated with other adhesives. High Strength and Permanent Bonding: The adhesive strength of this leather glue is commendable. It forms a permanent bond that ensures the longevity and durability of the joined leather pieces. Whether crafting a new leather item or repairing a cherished piece, the high-strength bond provides confidence in the structural integrity of the final product. Flexibility for Versatile Applications: Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement offers flexibility once dried, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The bonded leather retains its suppleness, allowing for natural movement without compromising the integrity of the adhesive. This flexibility is particularly crucial for items like belts and accessories that undergo repeated bending and flexing. Craftsmanship Enhancement: Craftsmanship is a priority for leather enthusiasts, and this leather glue contributes to elevating the overall quality of projects. It ensures clean, seamless joints and minimizes the visibility of adhesive lines, resulting in a polished and professional finish. The clear adhesive also adds to the aesthetic appeal, maintaining the natural look of the leather. User-Friendly Application: The ease of application is another noteworthy aspect of Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement. The precision applicator allows for controlled dispensing, reducing the likelihood of excess glue and mess. The user-friendly design caters to both seasoned leathercraft artisans and beginners, enhancing the overall crafting experience. Ideal for Leather Repairs: Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement is a reliable choice for repairing leather items. Whether fixing a torn seam, reattaching a loose strap, or patching up worn-out areas, the adhesive's strength ensures a lasting repair that restores the functionality and appearance of the leather item. Durable 4oz Size: The 4oz size of the bottle provides a substantial quantity of glue for numerous projects, striking a balance between adequacy and storage convenience. It's a practical size for both occasional hobbyists and dedicated leathercraft enthusiasts. Conclusion: In conclusion, Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement proves to be an exceptional leather glue that excels in quick drying, high strength, and versatile applications. Its contribution to craftsmanship, coupled with ease of use, makes it a must-have for anyone engaged in leathercraft projects or repairs. Whether you're a seasoned artisan or just starting your leathercraft journey, this adhesive from Fiebing's is a reliable and effective choice.

It doesn't look it, but it's strong. Great for leather, pleather and cloth
I bought this glue literally just to use two drops. I had to modify and shorten the leather sleeve for my Henry Mare's Leg and, since I can't sew, I just dabbed a couple of drops of this glue where I had to cut some stitches. It worked just fine. Then I decided to modify an arrow quiver for my speed loader tubes. (Tubes you fill with ammo to make loading a rifle quick and easy.) I had some leather left over from my previous modification and used this to make the necessary modifications to the quiver. I needed a flap on top to keep the tubes from falling out and I needed a way to raise the shorter tubes up higher in the quiver. (The longer tubes fit perfect. I took some of that left over suede leather and made a cup about 8 inches long with a closed bottom. I did this using this glue of course. Then I glued it down far enough inside the quiver so the smaller tubes were easily accessible. I glued the flap on as well and am able to fold it over the top of the quiver and tie it off. This has all worked great. I hauled that quiver to the range full of 20 speed loader tubes each full of ammo. 10 of them in that leather cup. All of my modifications held up with no indication of doing otherwise. I'm super impressed with this glue. Then, I got a new cell phone. It fit in my old case, but uses a magnetic backing on the phone to hold it in the case. My old case didn't have magnets in the right place to hold the phone. I sliced the case open with a razor, added some magnets that I had pulled out of a phone case that I didn't like and sealed it all up with this glue. The only cuts that can be seen in the case are under the phone and they're sealed up good with this glue. Every one of my repairs/modifications are solid and strong. I am actually amazed at the strength of this glue. It worked great on leather to leather and pleather to pleather. (Phone case.) Where has this glue been all my life? Who knew it would come in so handy. Then my son used some to modify his halloween costume. Gluing cloth this time. This is good versatile glue. It looks just like elmer's glue, but elmer's doesn't have the strength this stuff has. I had no idea I would get so much use out of it. Now I'm looking for things to glue together ;)

Excellent Cement, Though Might Need a Brush
Delivery took a while, though that's more of an issue with the vendor. The product works fantastic, however. With just a small strip of space for the cement to latch on, I was able to completely reattach a laterally torn section of scales on the heel of my teju lizard boot, and I don't believe it'll ever come loose again (and if it does, it'll take a while). The consistency was pretty thick, just a bit less than toothpaste, and the texture was smooth enough, so I had to take a towel to jam it between the rows of scales that had come apart. Of course, this inevitably left residue on the surface of the boot, but after it was dry enough to hold itself together, I could just put a couple drops of water in the area and brush the residue off. Overall, I'd give this leather cement a 9.5/10, the one thing that would make it perfect is if it was packaged with a small brush for cases where you don't need half a dime sized dollop of cement for the use case.

This is not Elmer's glue! More flexible and stronger bond, but unfortunately, more expensive.
This leather glue is not Elmer' glue. Out of the bottles, they look identical, but this glue dries more transparent than Elmer's glue. On the cutting mat, Elmer's glue will peal off easily without residuals, whereas Fiebing's glue will not come off - I can only slice it off from the mat and a thin coat of glue remains on the mat surface. The main difference is that this leather glue remains flexible (and sticky) while Elmer's glue becomes very hard, similar to wood glue. I can even roll up the cured Fiebing's glue - see pic. Note that, despite the name, this leather glue does not work like contact cement, and must be held together to dry like any other water-based glue. Jan 2023: Bought two more bottles and added the picture of instruction.

Actually works really really good!
I had tried and tried to successfully glue 2 pieces of leather together to no avail. I finally bought this leather specific glue and it holds! Good value for the money. I can wholeheartedly recommend Fiebing's leathercraft cement.

This is literally just Elmer’s glue
I don’t know why I decided to switch up my leather glue but this is a lesson that not all ideas are good ones because this glue is so bad it makes me irrationally upset. Was really excited to get this glue to work on a pair of boots I’m adding a leather gusset to but I had to pause my project until I can get different glue because this stuff sucks soooooo bad. It is so runny, doesn’t dry for a long time, and I genuinely think it would not be able to hold two pieces of paper together. If you’re considering buying this glue: don’t. Go to your junk drawer and get some super glue, I promise it will be better than this stuff. Not trying to be a hater but I just feel very strongly that this is a bad product.

Great stuff.
I’ve read a lot of reviews about this stuff. Mine showed up in great condition. It’s nothing like an Elmer’s glue. I use it to bond where I stitch. I get a strong bond every time. Usually within twenty minutes,I’m punching and stitching. I have zero issues sanding and finishing the edges afterwards. It may not be Barge Cement but,I can breathe at the bench and get no complaints about fumes in the house.
