Using a DA these thing didn’t last long. Sanding gel coat on a 18ft haul I burnt through a whole pack on one side.

I've ordered these disks in 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000. They are decent quality and work relatively well for the price, so I hate to complain... but I do have a couple of complaints.My first issue is that the disks labeled as "2000" are as course, or more course than the 800 grit. I don't know if I received a bad batch or maybe mislabeled? Imagine my surprise as I level sanded the finish on a newly built guitar, only to have to start over once I hit my 2000 grit. Now that I know this, I use the 2000 to remove deeper scratches and blemishes and follow with 1000 and 1500.The second issue is that the 1500 grit lasts about 1/4 as long as the other grits. It functions well when fresh, but even when clearing dust from the disk and surface every few strokes with a brush, it wears out almost immediately.
