Update: I feel like a dummy. The instructions clearly say to remove the backing, but the backing is so clear that I simply assumed this particular version of the product didn't have one. But it does. It's a little tricky to get the corner started, but it's there. Once you remove the backing, this thing sticks to the window perfectly fine. It has not come off yet, at least. I'll be sure to update this review if it does.When I left this review, though, I got a quick response from the seller, who kindly reminded me to remove the backing. So this whole problem was operator error, but in the process I learned that this seller has excellent customer service.This product is beautiful, easy to apply (once you remove the backing), and I do recommend it.Original review: I cannot for the life of me get this thing to stay stuck on the window. I've followed the instructions to a tee, half a dozen times, but every time, a day later, it comes right off. I think that part of the problem is that it arrives rolled up, so that when it is applied to the windows, the edges have a tendency to curl away from the window. This allows a small bit of air to get in at the edges, eventually peeling the entire thing off. I have tried rolling it up in the reverse direction, to counteract the curl it came with, but that has not worked yet either.If anyone can provide tips to get this thing to stick, I would greatly appreciate it and would happily change my review to reflect the eventual quality of the product. As it currently stands, though, this product is useless and I cannot recommend it.

This film is amazing. First, I used it on the bottom 2/3 of two windows (inside windows) to block the view from outside into one of my rooms. Leaving the top 1/3 uncovered allowed a view of the trees. I was amazed at how lovely this looked--I had purchased it for privacy but it looked like etched glass. It is a bit tricky to put on the window, moisture is important for it to work, and I'd recommend to people to put it on the window. The amount of light that comes through is perfect,about five times more than my lightweight curtains were letting through. So I ordered more of the film and put it on the OUTSIDE of my three sided glass shower enclosure. Wish I'd done this years ago. It is beautiful. Finally the "view" of naked people in the shower is gone. Surprisingly wonderfully, the drops/calcium//scum whatever it is that needs scrubbing to clean, became invisible. It is invisible from the outside and the inside. The light that comes through is more than adequate for a shower. There have been about 30 showers since I put on on the outside of the shower glass, and it is still looking perfect and not peeling off. This film really does look like "etched glass". I had been expecting something like contact paper, and what a wonderful surprise. I have never seen anything like it. This film passed the "supreme, ultimate" test when my rather (very) picky neighbor saw it and said "You got your window replaced, I love it. Where on earth did you find a window frosted on the bottom and clear on the top?"

Ordered this product to cover up a window that looks straight into my neighbors kitchen. Needed to create a separation between our yard and theirs. Was looking for something a bit modern but sleek. This was easy to install and it looks Amazing. Loving the Privacy yet still allowing light into the room we selected. I would highly recommend to order from this company which has many different styles to select from. I still had product some left that I will be using in our bedroom door that leads to the back patio.

I am very satisfied with this window film! After looking to freshen up our space and replace some old bamboo window film, I stumbled upon this. It is definitely a great privacy film as from further away even the design blurs. Up close and with natural light, the design looks great. It was incredibly easy to work with and frustration free. This stuff is thick and well made too. There are about a million ways to apply this stuff. Just a tip though: I put press and seal down on my windows, pressing it into the edges smoothly. Then I take a sharpie (or you can use a utility knife but sharpie is easier to see) to define the edges. I place it directly onto the window film to cut the final product. I like this method because I always mess up when I try to cut it after placing it on the window as directions often suggest. This is a great product!

Had contractor here today to do some projects. He unrolled the film and it cannot be used. I want a replacement and can’t get one. No refund offered. It will be put in the garbage and I am paying for contractors time for nothing

I have an ugly view of the side of my neighbor’s house outside my bathroom window. I wanted to be able to keep my shutters open and have privacy 24 hours a day.I had previously installed a UV protectant cover over all the windows in my house. It installs similarly to this film. It gave me privacy during the day, but not at night.I wanted to also install this film so I can just leave my shutters open 24/7. To make a long story short, this doesn’t install properly if you already have something adhering to your windows. While it looked properly installed, it peeled off as soon as the sun would hit the windows in the late afternoon.I did find a work around that works with my windows. I installed the film, ran a soft cloth over the top to get rid of all excess water, and used “white” transparent tape all around the edges. My shutters hide the taped edges, but even so, the tape is about the same opacity as the film.As you can see, I was able to install the film, even though there is a UV protector already installed on my window. I’m really happy with the level of sunlight and privacy that I now have.
