I have been looking for a low powered nail grinder for a while. I had botched toenail surgery and have two toenails that had significantly thickened. Very unsightly. I tried filing them down manually but never got far with it. I tried my Dremel (because, hey, works for dog nails!) but that heated the nail bed up quickly and painfully. I was a bit apprehensive the first time I used this but was pleasantly surprised that there was no pain and no heat. This is so gentle that you can even have it rub up against your skin and it won't do any damage. It does take a while for this to grind down the nail, I actually have been using it about 10 minutes a day for the past few days. My toenails look SO much better that I am actually not ashamed to wear sandals without painted toenails. I also used this on a couple of calluses on the sole of my foot, it seemed to work okay, smoothed them out. What I like the most is the way the attachments fit on the unit. Because they are not directly on the top of the unit it is much more manageable to vary the position of the grinding heads as you use it. It is pretty versatile. The unit is very comfortable to hold. The attachments just pop on and off with no effort at all. You don't have to use the plastic guard either, it comes right off. I found that the guard is useful for working on calluses but not grinding the nails. I used it outside so the nail 'dust' just blew away. I used to get acrylic nails done and I don't think this would be powerful enough for shaping those. The drills used at the salons are more akin to Dremels in strength. I recommend this for natural nails.

I got my new pedicure tool set yesterday, and I tried it today. I love it! There is an attachment for every problem area on my feet. I've struggled with thickening toenails, and it is difficult to file them down by hand. This drill along with the tool for thick nails did the job quickly without hurting the tissue around the nail. I was wondering how well the product would work using just 2 AA batteries, and it definitely had the "oomph" to grind away my thick toenails. The little plastic shield was covered with debris quite soon after I started. I find that this product is like an electric toothbrush - surprisingly energetic even when just running on 2 AA batteries. I tried each of the other tools (attachments) and was impressed at how quickly I saw changes in my feet. The recommendation from the company is to use the tool in a dry area, with dry feet, and do soaking/moisturizing afterwards. The product worked quite well on dry feet, and gave me a better sense of how much nail thickness I was removing. I am delighted with this product.

I like to walk barefoot which means the soles of my feet are always rough and I get calluses in predictable areas. A few years ago, my big toe nails have thickened (hereditary issue). Lately, the skin around my big toes has become dry and hard. That area has been very difficult to smooth with the typical foot file. This product solved that issue with the callus removers - especially the small ones for between toes. Overall, all attachments did well, although the polisher could have been better but that seems to my typical complaint with similar products. Without even soaking my feet first, calluses are smooth and the most important part is the skin around my nails is smooth. I love this so far.

I wanted an electric nail clipper/shaper to smooth my toenails so they don’t snag my socks when I put them on. Likewise, but to a lesser extent, I wanted to smooth my fingernails so they didn’t have rough projections at the corners. This kit includes the following attachments: cylinder mini shaper, polishing felt cone, sapphire smoothing cone, mini callus removers (1 coarse, 1 fine), long callus removers (1 coarse, 1 fine) and a sapphire shaping disk. There is also a transparent protective cap, for which I see no use whatever. The cordless feature is nice. I can use this item without being attached to a wall socket. So far, I have tried the coarse long callus remover, the sapphire smoothing cone and the sapphire shaping disk. The latter worked fine on my fingernails, but was very awkward to use on my toenails and slow as well. Even at high speed, it took forever to shape my toenails. I tried using the sapphire smoothing cone on my toenails, but couldn’t control it adequately. The brightest spot in all this was the coarse long callus remover: it took off a callus on my toe that had bothered me for years and left the skin smooth and clean. I hadn’t expected a callus remover, so this was a nice surprise. I really see no use for the remaining items and do not expect to try them in future, except maybe the cylinder mini shaper.

I am getting older and it is getting harder to maintain my own pedicure. I am so glad I ordered this when it was offered as a lightning deal. It used to take me over an hour to clip and file. Now I complete the whole job in less than half an hour. The implements give me a variety of finishes and I finally got rid of my calluses. Why pay more for another brand name when this is so much better? I also am trying to get info on replacement parts. Although it runs on two AA batteries, I saw no loss of power while using for the first full hour. This is a truly portable device that I can take with me anywhere. Since I am a traveler, it feels good to know that I am not dependent on wall power to keep my nails smooth and buffed.

I was hesitant because I have tried other products that really didn't work on my thick toe nails. I had neglected my toe nails and they got thick. I saw there were 490+ reviews and almost full 5 stars and many reviews said it worked great on thick nails. Well, I can attest to fact it does. I used a couple of heads and it took some time but my toe nails don't have that extra layer on them. I loved how easily it is to handle and I could get at my toe nails from different angles. My sister is impressed (she's a fashionista) and plans to get one too.
