Titan Building Products - 4x4 Post Skirt - SKBL44 - Black - 3.5" Interior Opening

Bought these for 4x4 posts, which are actually 3.5s, new posts. They did not fit. About a qtr inch too small. Bought several and the fit is consistently small.

Installed like 6 of these on my deck to better protect the base of my railing posts from rot. They often cut into the posts during install (slightly), often required effort and a little bending to connect (halves to each other) and while they look nice, I am not sure that they provide much protection. There are noticeable gaps where water can still penetrate. Would have gone with bigger skirts, but my railing system did not leave much room to work with.

Also does not fit standard 4x4 post base.

Used on bottom of post for a deck, nice enhancements

These really aren't what you see in the picture. In the photo there's an inner layer and an outer collar. I was hoping the inner layer would help reinforce the wood from splintering and the outer collar would be decorative but all that arrived was the outer collar shown.It's easy to install and it looks nice but it definitely doesn't *do* anything.

I am a contractor. Was designing and installing a stair landing rail system. We used sanded and painted 4x4 posts that had to be mounted directly onto the flooring. These covers worked well with the Titan post brackets and covered everything cleanly

Finally bought these after looking for over a year. They were easy to install and look great.

Did exactly what it was supposed to do
