Pixos Micros Intro Set

My daughter saw this set on TV and really wanted it. I had my doubts because there were so many little pieces I was afraid we would have a house taken over by little pellets, but because of the holder that comes with it, that has not been the case. It was fairly easy to use without much instruction and my daughter was able to create several cute creatures. It does take a while to dry so if your crafter doesn't have patience, this is not the toy for you. It worked pretty much as described although sometimes a few more pellets are needed at the end. The downside is the fact that the projects you create need to be placed in holders and there are a limited number of those included so this craft can start to get expensive as you buy replacement parts. Overall, we been very happy with the set however, I would recommend it.

My 4 year old daughter loves when we can create little 3D figures shown on the box. It would be very hard for a 4 year old to do this without supervision so I advise an adult or older person age 7+ help with the molds until the child reaches an older age group. These beads are very tiny and can easily be dropped or lost on the floor. When the molds come out, you can decorate them however you'd like and they make cute 3D figures that my daughter loves to play with or she gives them to her friends. You can use any colors you want or just stick to one color. Have fun and make sure to follow the directions carefully so your molds turn out looking nice and even.

My son is 3 and loves to make little projects. This was really fun for him. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it was hard to get out of the mold. There was a learning curve for sure. We let the molds sit overnight for the second attempt and we woke up to little figures he could actually play with - when we followed the directions and tried to open the mold after 30 min, the whole thing feel apart and the little beads had to be thrown away.I would buy this again :)

My 4 yr old have fun making the bead toy. Wish there are more stickers for decorating. I also bought some beads refill.

Pixos get stuck between the funnel for output and the inside compartment with no way to free them.

Got this when Amazon had it for around $5. At this price it is definitely worth the money.Pros: The dispenser actually worked! I've noticed in past Pixos products you might as well throw the dispenser away and use your fingers, but this dispenser works well to fill the little molds. Cute little projects that dried quickly and came out of the mold wiht little effort.Cons: There are not a lot of beads, accessories, etc. This is pretty much enough for one afternoon of fun which is why I wouldn't pay the supposed "retail" price of $15 for it.

My daughter got this for Christmas and chose to play with it for about two hours straight on Christmas night. She made a few projects and had a great time doing it. About a couple dozen of the tiny Pixos balls rolled onto the floor, so plan on spending some time cleaning up after your kids use these. We don't plan on buying more Pixos to refill the kit, since this was a one-time $4 fun purchase...but it was well worth the money.

My daughter didn't really like the pixos. She said they were too small. She much preferred the Beados.
