I Will Use It Until It Dies or I Die
Bullet Lists (In Case You Don't Want To Read the Full Review)Reasons I Bought This:- I love the aesthetic- RGB lighting- Full size keyboard- Other good reviewsPros:- Sturdy metal frame- Key caps are plastic, but they're high quality- Comes with replacement key switches- Also comes with a diagram to help you replace them- Works with Windows XP and above- Dust and water proof, probably easy to clean- A large array of lighting effects and speeds- It is satisfying to type on- The sound of the switches add to the aesthetic- The cable is very longCon:- Not as many color options as I would likeFull ReviewIf I recall correctly, I got this keyboard on sale for about $20 off, and I believe it was worth it at that price. The keyboard has a very sturdy build and I think that if it is taken care of properly, it will last a very long time. It is also very helpful that the manufacturer includes replacement key switches and the tools necessary in case you need it. The booklet that comes in the box has a diagram that shows how to replace the key switches. The key caps themselves seem to be made of plastic, but it's a very high quality plastic, in my opinion.Another good thing about this keyboard is that it is compatible with Windows XP and up. The key switches are very loud, but I think it helps with the typewriter aesthetic. I personally like the sound anyway. It's very satisfying to listen to, especially when paired with how the keys feel (I enjoyed writing this review because of this). I was worried at first because the keyboard is not wireless, but the cable is long enough to suit my needs (about 5 1/2 feet, according to the booklet). I also like the fact that it is dust and water proof. It should be easy to clean.Of course, no product is perfect, but I only have one minor complaint about this keyboard. My complaint is that there is not a large amount of light colors to choose from. This is just a minor complaint because I mostly focus on the quality and feel of the keyboard, and it is not quite enough for me to knock off a star. One thing I would do differently is have the LEDs for the Num Lock and Caps Lock stuff change to be the same color as the rest of the keys. I think it would look a lot more uniform that way.Overall, this keyboard is pretty great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. It feels like it's very high quality and I plan on using it until it dies or I die, whichever happens first.

On Par with Larger Brands
The media could not be loaded. A Little Background:To start with, I am always cautious buying from brands I have not much knowledge of like the plethora you can find on Amazon. When it comes to something you plan on using for an extended period of time like a keyboard, you need to have a product you can rely upon. 1STPLAYER is still relatively new to the market but they are bringing with them a surprising amount of affordable peripherals that are significantly higher quality than their price might originally say at first glance.I have a little bit of experience with this brand as when I had made my first PC build I was in the market for an affordable mechanical keyboard. After some hours of research I had settled on the 1STPLAYER Steampunk Mechanical Keyboard and the rest is history! I have not bothered to look much further in a budget mechanical keyboard that meets all my needs. The Review:With the unique ergonomic keys the 1STPLAYER MK5 Retro Typewriter Style RGB Keyboard is extremely pleasant to the touch, something I definitely was not expecting; 1STPLAYER has outdone themselves this time around. As for the switches I opted for the "clicky" blue switches and if you ask me I can hardly tell the difference between these and an other well known brand like Cherry MX. As a side note, you can change the switches or clean them with the included tool.As for the RGB lighting they have a lot of different options with 10 different animations that are able to be customized without any software requirements. This also enables you to impress your friends on the fly without having to go through several menus. The colors are vibrant and you can change the speed as you see fit, in the same way that you can change the color mode. That being said they are not distracting, but they definitely are fun to watch in between tasks or game lobbies. As I write this I find it very soothing between the tactile feedback, the lighting, and the unique feel of the keys.If you are looking for a keyboard that is built with quality switches, RGB Lighting, won't break the bank while remaining stylish on all fronts; Look no further.PS: Check out the video with this review to check out the color schemes in action!

Great for gaming, but there are some concerns
This keyboard is absolutely amazing in regards to performance. It is quick, responsive, and the switches offer a bit of resistance which offsets the usual complaint about red switches: often they cause key chatter and mistypes. Not on this board though! Typing and gaming have been a dream on this board.Having said that, there's a couple things to worry about. 1) this board is the tallest I have ever handled, and you may want to get a wrist rest. 2) people have complained that after a few months some keys become less reliable or begin to chatter. I will update my comment if I start to have this problem, but so far it is perfect.3) the switches are not hotswappable, which would make replacing them 100 times easier. If they were, you could easily overcome the eventual problem of keys becoming unreliable.Altogether though, this is the best gaming keyboard I have ever had (and I've had some that costed over $120). On top of that, people have claimed that the warranty team on these are incredible and will replace your board if you have issues.

Good price for Cherry switches. Quality control could be better.
I think we all bought this product for Cherry switches at this price point which was what was delivered. However, I ran into several quality issues with the product where my F2 key felt sticky and hard to press out of the box, and my W key stopped working properly after using it for a couple weeks. Unfortunately, I chose to return the product because of it. Software was basic with a lot of RGB customizations. I haven't played around with the macros so I can't review it.

Good Keyboard, but with metal sounds
Keyboard is sturdy and has weight to it. Keys and lighting are great too.Only complaint: some keys have metal clang sound when released, maybe due to metal plates under them but you only hear them if room is perfectly quiet.

excelent keyboard
First of all, thumps up to Amazon for fast shipping. 1STPLAYER did a fantastic job on this keyboard. I ordered this keyboard as the Aukey blue key is way too loud for me to use. This keyboard is very responsive and nicely constructed. It has a nice weighted base, soft touch feeling, and RGB has a ton of options.

Cheap
I expected a cheap keyboard and this definitely feels very cheap. Keys have a really pronounced metallic clanging sound. That said, it's a low price full size mechanical keyboard, it serves it's purpose of avoiding bringing an expensive one to leave at work, but that's about it. It's ok for light typing but I don't think it would be a very good experience for gaming or a profession/hobby where you are typing on it for hours a day.
