I am unsure exactly what I expected. But overall, I am impressed. 1st by the quickness of the deliver and of the smoothness of the wafers. If one is looking for a 'chokolat flavor' without the sugar THIS is it. If you're looking for the sugar, this is NOT your go to. I ordered on result of another womans description of the wafer on a different sellers site. I thought "OOOH!". Well, it's not "OOOH" is more like raised eyebrow to hmm, this will take a minute to adjust too, but it's a 'can do'. I've been cutting all of refined and enriched out of my eating. When I eat sugar, it's coconut, fruit sugars, or Blue Agave(Inulin) - so this purchase will fit in nicely. I will be exploring new types of healthy snacks with it. I LOVE the rich chokolat taste of the wafers. The smoothness when it melts in my mouth. The fact it literally has NO other added ingredients. And I can sweeten it, if needed per recipe, as I see fit. I also tinker with essential oils and health remedies - so this will fit in for body & face products. On a side note, If you like me, are noticing how your body reacts to different things. In my findings, refined & enriched seems to be a code phrase for gmo. Our bodies were not made to process these things. If you're having issues eating or drinking certain products, it may not necessarily be the product but in fact how it's grown & processed. Mostly the latter. But I digress. I am VERY pleased with this purchase. After this review, I will be making another order. I don't want to run out. I've been trying & failing to order AND receive Cacao wafers for more than 3 or 4 months. I've received notices after making orders of how they are out of stock and won't be available for an "unknown" amount of time. SMH, so disappointing. This was NOT with this seller. Taking a chance on a seller I was unfamiliar with, and now receiving from the seller. I'd say this seller deserves 1O STARS! The purchase actually came 8 days early!! WOOPIE! Seriously. Amz stinks in their delivery dates, so to actually receive something ahead of time. I'm doing a happy dance! : )

I guess it's just too hot to ship these in the summertime. They have a low-heat, melting point. I can still use them, but they aren't pretty. They are creamy and will be good for cooking. I don't really eat sugar and popped one in my mouth. Nice taste. They can also be used as a moisturizer for your skin.

I've got these excellent butter cups I make, and warm a tahini chocolate and cacao butter mix for my shell. My regular cacao butter is in larger and smaller, misshapen pieces. These all being quite uniform and closer to small really allows them to absorb heat faster and reduce well. So, I'm not using as much heat, and I'm moving faster into my melted product. This is very useful!

I purchased this to make peanut butter cup treats for my weight loss journey. I am very happy with this purchase as it added a distinctive flavor that is positively addictive. The recipe I used was 1/2 c. peanut butter, 1/4 c. butter, 3 oz. of this cocoa butter,1/3 c. powdered swerve, and vanilla. Heat the peanut butter, butter and cocoa butter on stove, then stir in the swerve and vanilla. Pour in muffin cups. Melt 4 oz. unsweetened dark chocolate, 1 T butter, and 1 T. swerve, and then swirl into the muffin cups. Put in freezer. So good!

I was a bit worried it may arrive melted or not fresh. I opened the bag and it smelled beautifully and the wafers are in perfect condition. I had one just by itself and wow, the flavor was so full. Keep in mind I am not an experienced cacao-butter-wafers person but it tasted very fresh and buttery indeed and it left me with a great aftertaste. The way it felt and its texture makes me believe it will melt very well in drinks and also beauty products people like to use them for. I will update if I see any issues with other uses but this looks excellent so far and it is not a small bag either.
