Samsung DG44-01007B Range Surface Element Control Switch, Regulator, H-Cut (Replaces: DG44-01007A)

My Issue: Right front burner on my electric Samsung stovetop would get to the highest heat no matter what the dial was turned to. Also, the "Hot Surface" light would stay on for a long time.I read this is a common issue with Samsung stoves and it looked easy to replace so I went into "DIY" mode.The part was incredibly easy to replace. Turn off the power to the oven or unplug. Remove some screws, unplug some cables and reverse the process with the new part. Take a photo before unplugging cables just to ensure you put them in the right spot. This part was an exact match of what was already on my stove. The whole process took about 10-15 minutes.My burner now works good as new. My "Hot Surface" light stays on longer than it should still, so that may be a different issue, but I've read that is harmless. When I'm bored, I'll tackle that one. It's nice to have the best burner back.

Let me start by saying that I had a problem with my Samsung electric dual door oven for a while. Main burner was acting up crazy, no matter what setting I put on always was going on super-hot. Very dangerous. I was looking to buy a new oven but one in size and color I need to match rest of my appliances was super expensive (close to $1500). Then, I started looking on Amazon and by reviews I decide to get this one. My husband replaced old one in about 10 min and it is working. My burner is back and work normally. It took 10 min to repair my Samsung electric range. Burner was stuck on high and after replacing switch now it works like new. It is a perfect replacement. Fits as it should and has same markings as oem and believe it is a genuine Samsung part

It was a snap to install and it works perfectly! Unplug first, 5 screws to remove access panel. Then I pulled the connections off one at a time and immediately plugged into the new switch. Took several pics, but didn't need them doing it that way. Once all connections were transferred to the new switch, I removed the knob, then the 2 screws holding in the old switch. Took the old switch out, and slid the new switch in. Replaced the screws and knob. Then plugged in and tested, works perfectly! Unplugged and reinstalled the access panel, and job complete! Oh, and yes I cleaned up underneath and around before pushing it back in, it was gross!

This was an exact form/fit/function replacement for the original part in my Samsung stove. It was easy to replace and fixed the problem I was having - the heating element would get uncontrollably hot, no matter the setting. Worked great for about 3 months, and then the problem reoccurred. It's a bandaid if you can't shell out the money for a new stove.
