Bought for a meat slicer
Restored an old meat slicer I found and a thrift store. After initial disassembly and cleaning, used this grease to relube the unit. Works well and sticks to the gears. I recommend applying the grease with an acid brush so you can throw them away when finished lubing the gears.

I use this when repairing Kitchenaide mixers!
I've used this product twice while repairing the gearbox of a 6 qt Kitchenaide mixer. Absolutely would buy it again for the next such repair. The amount included is just about the right amount when replacing all the grease in the gearbox of a Kitchenaide mixer. I currently use the 7-qt size and haven't yet needed to work on it. But I believe this is enough to handle even that size. It certainly was enough the 6 qt gearbox, with a little left over. (And I completely removed all the grease then.)So at this time I can definitely recommend this product. I can't speak to price. But I can speak to the quantity provided and the quality of the grease, which is excellent for this purpose.Kitchenaide mixers are well-built for their purpose and they deserve our time in keeping them repaired. I want to encourage anyone with any possible interest in repairing their own Kitchenaide mixer to please take a crack at learning a few things and doing the work. They aren't rocket science and anyone can get through the process if they put their mind to it. Doesn't even require a bunch of tools. (Screwdriver, grease, and a ring remover tool about covers it.) When you get in there, you will see just how well designed the system is and how easy it is to work on. So take a gamble and go for it! But be sure to have some grease on hand!!Best wishes to all (and your mixers!)

Works great
I rebuilt my old KS55 Kitchenaid Mixer motor and used this grease to lube all the internal parts. It sticks to the parts nicely and the mixer runs like new again.

It’s THE stuff!
It was WAY BETTER than the grease suggested and order for the repair of my KitchenAid mixer. The grease suggested was white, but the grease I cleaned out, like this grease, was brown and more oily and petroleum based. I used my mixer once with the ‘suggested’ grease, but it didn’t hold up at all. My mixer started to get hot and smell, so I didn’t use it again until I got this stuff. Now I’ve used it 4-5 times with no issues. This is like the factory grease and actually the PN called out in the repair manual.

Great stuff!
Chech your mixer before you order, my 20yr. old Kitchenaid had this black grease some newer mixers have white grease, the consistency in different. Now my mixer works and sounds great.

It works
The grease is dark like the one used by the manufacturer. It lubricates well, it is easy to apply, and it can be easily cleaned with water and soap. I just repaired my 26 years old kitchenaid mixer, we'll see how long it lasts.

Strong smell of crude oil
Waisted time with this one (took forever to arrive). Strong smell of crude oil/petroleum. Would not want it anywhere around my food.
