Q: What is everything I need to make this work for a shower

A shower head, some plumbing, a hot water heater, an accumulator, a vent, a fill, a shut off, a drain and some soap. Good luck.

Q: can this be stood upright?

Tank can be placed on any side. Place tank on level surface and brace to prevent tank from moving during transit. Tank needs to be adequately supported. Do Not hang by ratchet straps, this is too thin and will not adequately support tank. Do Not place weight on tank, if you need to stack the tanks you will need a weight bearing shelf between them.

Q: The two fittings on the side of the tank, should these go up or down? Or does it matter?

Tank can be placed on any side, you will need to determine the best placement for your application.

Tank is really durable

The preset inlets and threads are amazing. No need to drill any extra holes. The triangular grooves in the sides help for stabilizing the tank which is a plus.

Arrived with defective fitting

This tank arrived with a defective fitting. The seller expected me to pay shipping back to receive a new tank. The seller said they would not replace because I used a pipe tap to try to fix the bad fitting. The seller knows the way the fitting is designed, it is impossible to get a tap in far enough to damage plastic threads.
