much better results than I expected.
I know this is unorthodox, But I wanted to experiment using this 2K topcoat on a very old and worn out porcelain/iron bath tub that also has a plastic surround. (it's a rental and needed a restoration and my landlord said sure, if it doesn't work out, I'll have the bathtub replaced or professionally restored...so no lose situation. I did a LOT of prep ...removed all the old scum and crud...used TSP and very hot water several times to get the tub as spotless clean and possible, then sanded with 200 grit wet sand so the paint would bond. I also got some samurai 2K gloss clear...also a 2 part polyurethane...same chemical product but advertised as more durable as a top clear coat than the spray max, which is why I went with samurai versus sprayman. Well...after the first light coat...I waited 10 minutes and did the next coat...had some issues with a sputtering spray tip, but got the solved with some mineral spirits...did a nice overlap....used the entire can...you will definitely want a carbon filter mask...not a dust mask. the vapors are harmful to your body...be smart. After the second coat, I waited about 15 minutes with a slight air fan to help the paint "kick". Then used the samurai 2k clear coat...waited 10 minutes...another coat...another ten minutes and a final clear coat.wow...the tub is really nice....I'll let it cure for 2 days...more than enough time. then caulk the tub to surround and let that cure for 24 hours. then the shower tub will be ready for use.important note: both 2k products I used, spraymax and samurai produce a LOT of overspray. You will definitely want to tape off and use block paper and cover EVERYTHING in the area...removing overspray is not easy chore. Be smart...it's all about how you prep...do the prep right and make sure everything is clean, dust free...no moisture...no dampness...low humidity..a little sanded roughness for a good bond...and you should get great results.yes, this is unorthodox to use automotive 2k rattle can paint on a porcelain bath tub.....the proof will be determined by the finish and also how long this will actually last. I am of the opinion that if this is durable on a auto that sees all kinds of weather at speeds of up to 80 miles per hours in termperatures below zero and up and over 100 degrees, pollen, road debris and insects and bird droppings...it should hold up in a shower tub! that was my thinking. My research showed this will bond to plastic and also porcelain. Same with the clear coat. I'll update this in a few months for a final review

BEST!!
You will not find a higher quality paint coming out of a 'rattle' can. This is the real deal two part paint system that manufacturers use along with the better auto body shops that employ expensive spray paint equipment. I have been using this stuff for many years on manned and unmanned aircraft, cars and other projects. Good To Go!!

It is good
I am not an experienced painter. I was actually doing it myself for the first time. Lots of times watched it before. It did a great job. I am happy with the results.

This is horrible stuff!!!
If there are 4 and 5 star ratings where are their reviews? My experience with this product is terrible and I have been using spray cans for over 40 years. The spray delivery is the pits, lots of spits and splatter, lots of variation in spray, very textured rough finish, and 12 hours later it still isn't dry. Yes, I used the rad cap to activate the 2nd part by pressing pin on the bottom.I don't know if this seller just got a bad batch but I feel betrayed by 4 and 5 star ratings with no reviews to back them up.I applied this to plastic engine cover parts for my Corvette and now I have an absolute mess.

Takes more than you think
I am painting a motorcycle gas tank so I only ordered 1 can. It will take 2 cans unless you use a white primer and I'm not sure if they make a white primer. I will say for a spray can I was impressed

FAIL
The coverage was really poor... lucky to get 12 sqft out of a can.I used it over epoxy primer (which also had poor coverage) and this material wrinkled up and had to be sanded off. It was a waste of time and about $60 for both materials.
