The best door opener that I could find that fits a normal home screen/storm door. Very nice quality, much smoother and classier than the regular pneumatic cylinders. However, only lasted about 18 months for me because we have a lot of wind and this unit can't take getting the door whipped up against the stops over and over, the little arm inside that goes to the gas cylinder eventually breaks.Still, I replaced it with the same unit, because it's still the best I can find. I'll just put some kind of reinforcement like a chain or a door stop in to help it.

Living in a condo, I have a neighbor who complains about my kids slamming the door into the garage. This was the perfect solution. It can be installed on the push side or the pull side, on right or left handed doors (but does take some extra steps for the switch to the left handed door.) It took me about 30 minutes to install. I installed it on the garage side to keep it out of sight. It does make the door heavier to open, but isn't difficult. Additionally, it has an adjustable speed for closing. I consciously picked this one because I didn't want the kids opening the door too much and having it stay open.

This is a good door closer as I have them before on another house, small and easy to install. I needed an opener that opened greater that 90 degrees and this won't. No specifications or detailed information on product even at the manufacturer's site. Had to remove it.

I recommend this product. Kids may have hard time to open the door at first few times. However, they get used to it.

Sent back since they sent one that does not have hold open door. I purchased a different one from a different place that has the hold door open option.
