Caffè Motta: "Lounge Bar" Roasted Coffee Beans 1 Kg 2.2 Lb [ Italian Import ]

My husband and I have ordered these beans a countless number of times, definitely a top favorite of ours! We grind the beans every morning to create perfect espresso shots. I really like the smooth taste of this coffee, it is not bitter like some other brands I have tried.

I love this coffee, Great coffee, very smooth, no bitterness, hints of chocolate. We use a Gaggia Superautomatic, kitchen has a great aroma after brewing first cup. Highly recommend.

Despite the wonderful reviews I found this coffee to be less than I had hoped for. I drink espresso exclusively, have for most of my life. I have an excellent pressure machine, I grind the beans in a burr grinder.I am very selective about the quality of my espresso, so when I read the outstanding reviews on Motta Coffee I was vey excited to add this brand to my favorites. Unfortunately once I tried it I was disappointed, the coffee was thin with a bitter aroma. I used it regardless, blending it with a high quality espresso bean and Stabucks French Roast bean. The mixture turned out ok, but I won't buy this coffe again. Bummer! I was really hoping i would like it..

I received this coffee as a Christmas present. It came from HomeGoods and it only cost $8.50. I didn't hold out much hope but boy was I wrong. I ground it in my Baratza burr grinder then brewed it in my Technivorm Moccamaster. The flavor was perfect and it was very smooth. Excellent cup of European coffee!

No . The package arrived with the vacuum UNSEALED. I could not see any flagrant holes in the package so I thought maybe it lost the vacuum seal because of it being banged around during delivery since the bag was just placed in a fedex letter package with little to no protection. I decided to use anyways and have used over half The coffee beans in this package and the espresso has been far below par. I blame this on the vacuum being compromised and who knows how long it had been unsealed. As you know when roasted coffee beans are exposed to oxygen they start to break down immediately and the longer, the worst.I had bought a similar package before this one and the first package arrived vacuum packed and in good shape. The espressos pulled from the first package where so much better.When I run out I don’t want something like this to happen again. I will probably look elsewhere to purchase.I give it 4 stars for 1st package receivedAnd 1 Star for this compromised package
