Wonderful result with Cosequin ASU
I have a rescue mare in her 20's. She was very sore when she came to me and then became even worse when she developed Cushings and foundered. I was giving her two grams of butte daily plus a vet recommended supplement for joint pain and other arthritis issues. She was not responding to the butte and supplement in a satisfactory way. She continued to get more sore and her walking was becoming so difficult for her I was nearing the decision to put her down and relieve her suffering. A friend who is a highly regarded professional trainer convinced me to try Cosequin. After reading up on Cosequin I chose the ASU version to try. Within four weeks there was noticeable improvement in her movement and by six weeks she was a different horse. While she still has some soreness, she moves all over her pasture including up and down hills with ease. Any thought of putting her down is long gone. She's happy and even jogs to her grain on occasion. I have reduced her butte to one gram a day for the last four weeks and am about to eliminating it to see if she can do without it - I believe she'll do fine on the Cosequin ASU by itself based on her far better than expected response to the product. I am thrilled for this old mare. I highly recommend giving Cosequin products a try. They may not work as well on every horse, but by all means worth a try.

BEST joint supplement for equine so Far!!
I have used several different joint supplements for my horse over the years, and chose to purchase this for the first time at a vet supply initially to try it out, and it really is broad spectrum, and he is moving better than he has in years as if he is 10 years younger! He is actually 28yrs of age, and moving as though he was 18 again! (That was before his arthritis really began to take a toll). I highly recommend this, along with some bute, and benedryl to aid in keeping any inflammation/pain down. He is feeling fantastic, i'll definitely continue to purchase this item here as it is cheaper in our local feed stores. Thank you Nutramax Laboratories, inc*!

Effective
Since putting my boy on this, I have noticed in general he seems much more comfortable. He's not as stiff coming out of his stall and using his hocks much better. He is getting older (11) and I want to proactively try and head off any joint problems I can. I take glucosamine and condroitin and it has really helped me as well. As with any supplement, it may work for some horses, not others. The only way to see if it will work is to try it. I would give it for at least 3-6 months depending on your individual horses symptoms/age, etc. All the vet students at the barn give it to their horses as well, so a good endorsement. Found it cheapest through Amazon.

Seems To Be Helping
My vet/chiropractor recommended this product for my OTTB who suffers from stiffness as he is just getting into a work program. He's been on it 2 weeks and already noticing a difference with more fluidity in his gait. He seems more comfortable. He's been on the initial dose of 2 scoops in the evening, plan to bump him down to 1 scoop and see how that goes. Surprisingly Amazon has the lowest price around for it!

Apple flavored
This was bought for my 17 year old dog. His back legs are giving out on him, and I am trying to buy us more time together. He ate it last night, so I'm hoping to continue hiding it in his meat treats...This brand helped my 33 year old horse. Maybe it'll help this fur baby too
