My Favorite, Signature Color!
Splat Crimson Obsession is my go-to hair dye, and it’s been my signature color for a while now. The kit includes everything you need for a great application – the red hair dye, oxide, and bleach powder all work perfectly together. It does take me two boxes to get the full coverage I want, but the color is so vibrant and long-lasting that it’s totally worth it.I love that it’s vegan and cruelty-free, which is an added bonus. The color is a rich, deep crimson, and it looks amazing under different lighting. I always get compliments on it, and it never fails to give me the bold, fiery look I love. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a vivid, dramatic hair color!

My favorite hair dye!!!
I love this stuff lol. Been using it for years!! I've kept my hair some variation of bright red for many years now, lol my partner likes it so what can I say? And I always come back to this one, honestly. I'll try some other kind every once in a while, because either I can't find this one, or it's all they had at the store I was at and I just didn't feel like searching for it lol. But I always get this one any time it's an option. It's THE BEST. I don't use the bleach, I'll never again let bleach touch my hair after a series of very unfortunate hair choices when I was a teenager lol, and it still leaves my hair looking BRIGHT red. My natural color is like a medium brown with slight auburn highlights, but my hair hasn't been natural since I was like 12 honestly lol. But it was definitely NOT a light color when I first started dying it this color, and while I'm sure it'd be more vibrant if I were to bleach it, I'm definitely happy with it anyway. At this point I've been doing it so long, I'm just basically doing my roots and then just making the rest POP more, because it DOES fade lol. Though not nearly as quickly as say, pink or blue or something hair, it's more permanent. Because of that though it does stain. BADLY lol. My whole entire scalp will be bright ass red for days afterwards lol. It usually takes a few more washes to get it completely out, but then after that it's perfect lol. But yeah it can look a bit weird for a bit after it's first done. I'm sure there are things you can do to like, protect your scalp and keep it from getting dye on it or ways to get it to come off that I just don't know about but yeah, just something to know.My hair is super straight and down past my shoulders, not like, super long, but still down my back slightly, and one box is enough for me. I'll probably start needing to get a second box if I let it get any longer, but for now it's fine, and I could get away with just doing my roots for a super long time before I'd be able to use most of two boxes of it lol. There's a good amount in the box. It's usually really affordable, too. Definitely never paid over $20, and usually not even close to it lol. I can usually find it at Walmart, or Walgreens. So not having to go anywhere special to get it. Anyway I'll keep using this unless I ever find something better lol

Splat Midnights - Indigo
I ordered this from Amazon when I was no longer able to find it in any of my local stores. Other colors were there but not this one. I’ve used this for 3or 4 years, my hair color is dark brown with gray (I’m 67). It makes my gray pretty blue and makes the brown look black, with a dark blue sheen. I get compliments on my hair everywhere, it’s been pretty incredible. I love this product. Be aware when applying, it turns everything it touches blue & I wash my hair in the kitchen sink, with gloves, for the first 3-4 washes. Use mild shampoo & cool water to wash. It will continue to bleed when wet, pretty much until it’s all washed out. I just use the color wipes for hands, face, neck & a cuticle hrush for my nails lol! Have also learned a Magic Eraser may remove blue spots from counters, sometimes. For skin it just has to wear off. But I still love it!

Splat used to be good...
For reference, I've been dyeing my hair for nearly 7 years now. I have used splat HEAVILY when starting dyeing my hair (it used to never come out, and it was one of the only dyes where I could take long and hot showers and not even fade in color). Now, I haven't used splat hair dye in maybe 2 years? I ordered the Love Ombre set for around 10 bucks. Everything is standard so far. It arrived on time and I slid my hands into the gloves ready to dye my hair for the 100th or so time. Bleached, Rinsed, and now time for dye. Just opening the dye bottles I knew something was different INSTANTLY. the dyes were watery and dripped off my gloved hands like water - it was nearly impossible to apply to the hair and keep it from dripping off my hair.Ok, So I apply the hair dye, wait the prescribed hour time for the dye to.... dye my hair. I go to wash my hair in cold water, everything goes well, pink water is pouring off my scalp (very normal when dyeing your hair).... I leave the shower having not seen my head of hair yet (I have short hair, so I cant really see what my hair looks like).I look in the mirror. It is the splotchiest head of blonde/pink I have ever seen. In some parts, the hair is completely bleached blonde with neon pink stained scalp underneath. some parts look almost like faded red. Some parts are the same neon pink as my scalp. ???? I've never had this problem with Splat.Hopefully I just got a dud box of hair dye that managed to surpass quality control but........ really unsure what I'm going to do because I do NOT want to go in public looking like this.
