The material is a sateen at best. I should have returned them since I was wanting real satin pillowcases for my face and hair. I instead washed them and tried them out for a couple weeks and they did not wear well at all! The fabric is definitely not soft and smooth like a true satin and they pilled up and snagged easily. I DO NOT recommend!

The saying- You get what you pay for ( more or less) is true when it comes to these pillow cases. They are decent ( for the low price).Positives--They are Large and I like the extra flap that helps with keeping the pillow in the case ( my pillow is large and it stays covered in this pillow case nicely)- They feel nice and soft. My pillow is a cooling pillow and I can still feel my cool pillow through the light, thin and soft cover.- they were affordableThe negatives --they attract hair ( I have animals) like a magnet but this could partly be because I chose the color black. They also seem to get dirty easily/ quickly-they seem to cause some static electricity issues ( nothing major)

This pillow case is ok. I bought if for the sole purpose of staying cooler at night, and if anything, I seem to sweat more. The quality is decent enough for the money but don't buy it expecting it to alleviate night sweats or overheating, it doesn't work for that. I can't give a review on the skin and hair thing, I didn't purchase it for that and I don't know what the expectations would be for that aspect. I would recommend if you need decent looking pillow cases for a reasonable price, but not for any other reason.

I cannot attest to the comfort of these body pillowcases for sleeping since I bought a pair to use as electrostatic Martin-Logan speaker covers. This may sound weird, but the original speaker socks that protected my Martin-Logan speakers from dust accumulation were falling apart, so I needed a substitute. There is no lint associated with the Sleep Zone satin pillowcases and they are silky smooth. They slide over my tall speakers and are the right length to cover them from top to bottom: a perfect replacement for the original speaker socks that came with the Martin-Logans.

Bought these for myself due to having issues with putting my hair up during the night, these pillow cases are great for throwing your hair up during the night- like in a bun straight out of the shower to make no heat waves. Quality wise, they're ok. The hem on one of the cases wasn't fully sewed on but that wasn't a huge problem for us cuz I can sew.They're soft, the color is nice and doesn't bleed. The fabric is thin but does its job.So why 2 stars. I've never had a satin anything so I don't know if these feel how they should. If they do, then disregard my 2 stars and I guess I just hate satin. They are not silky, they are soft. My husband has kind of rough hands and they would snag and scratch on this fabric all the time. If you have perfectly soft silky skin, then you're fine. But if your skin is dry or rough at all you will hear it and feel it on these cases.

Lovely fabric — not super slippery, if that’s what you’re looking for — soft, almost like silk, nice drape. They come with a mesh bag to protect them in the laundry, so I assume they’d get pilly without it — but you’d probably have to take extra care with any satin pillowcase, so c’est la vie. The “envelope” closure is odd — I can’t really see how it would work — but these stay on just fine open ended, like most pillowcases. I’m sure there are more spectacular ones if you want to spend a billion dollars, but these are more than worth the cost, especially if you just want to see if satin pillowcases would make a difference for you.

I can’t say enough great things about these pillow cases! They’re incredibly smooth, soft, and well constructed. I’m able to stay cool and comfortable at night. The design is brilliant since they contain a pocket that securely holds your pillow in place. Amazing price for such great quality, functionality, and design. They even come with a high quality laundry bag to protect the pillow cases while washing them. You can’t go wrong with buying this set! They’re one of the best purchases I’ve made.
