Beautiful product on cakes, once you know how to use it....
If you have never worked with gold leaf it's not very easy. There are tricks to using it, each leaf is in it own little paper pouch like. The trick is to open the end without touching the leaf, it's static from your body that will suck it to your finger and ruin a leaf. If you use the paper as your tool it goes on very well. Here is a wedding cake I did last Friday and it was beautiful. This was a 4 tier cake, 14", 11", 8", 5" round tiers and I just missed covering the bottom tier by like 3 inches. So 2 packages would have been to much, but I was short... so I just used my gold paint to cover that part in the back of the cake so you couldn't see it anyway. Product is great tho to give you that gorgeous look of gold with a little patience, one you get how to use it, it's a breeze. I will definitely use it again.

It's gold leaf
People complaining about the size need to learn to read 35mm x 35mm is small end of story. Also it's gold leaf it's bound to be flimsy and hard to work with its just part of the medium. On another note when I ordered they turned out great I plan to order more latter on.

Looks good - hard to use
We really liked the looks of this once we finally got it put on. We had never used anything like this before and it had a steep learning curve. It is VERY thin and fragile. I'm glad we bought a lot since some of it got wasted.

Looks to be similar quality and color to the barnabys brand. Size is perfect for our use.Tip- use a vinyl cutter to cut out the outline of a desired shape. Apply glue and leaf then tap with a soft makeup brush. remove the vinyl and you’ll have your shape. Must use vinyl that doesn’t leave a residue (oracal 651, etc)Tip- read the reviews of gold leaf to find that most people have no idea what they are talking about.

Seems to be good quality gold. Expensive for the size and amount, won’t but again but will work for what I’m trying to achieve.
