Seems ok - Read on for more.
I have been hauling bikes on my vehicles for 30 years. In that time I have had many different kinds of racks. This is my first tailgate rack and it's just ok. I did a ton of research and decided on the Raceface because it was the highest reviewed rack I could find although it was the most expensive. Here is my experience.Pros: easy to install, can get bikes on fast and get going down the road, cool looking, thick material, soft underside to protect my new truck. Ability to adjust rack pads to access truck bed handle and backup camera.Cons: One strap to down tube is too long for my steel bike frame. Bikes wobble and seem unstable although they have never tipped over. I have to use extra straps to secure bikes to prevent shifting/tipping. Locking bikes is awkward.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, I would recommend with cons, I would likely buy it again if the need arises.I will update this review when/if the need arises.

Great fit for Tacoma - Well thought-out system
Great fit on my 2019 Tacoma. Looks nice. They did a really good job making the flap for the backup camera adjustable. The whole system is well thought out and holds the bikes very stable. I don’t need to use the straps to hold the bike on for my daily rides. But they are nice for bumpy roads and long trips. I think the main material will hold up well. Hopefully the straps are made of some UV resistant nylon because they cook in the sun all day on my truck. I live in Phoenix AZ and the straps on my last tailgate bad were destroyed by the sun in under 6 months. I ended up using some black ratchet straps which were far superior to the original straps. What could be improved? It would be great if they had some sort of an attachment system that made it easier to take this off when you aren’t using it. I mean it’s simple enough to run the straps around the tailgate but kind of a pain. If there was an easier method that would be great.

Found from Seth!
Saw on Seth's Bike Hacks (Berm Peak) and originally bought S/M. No clue what size pickup that fits cause it was tiny. I have a RAM 1500 so had to get a large, which is actually still a bit small but gets the job done. The negatives are sizing, cost and like others said it covers my backup cam. Those are relatively minor inconveniences though, it safely secures my bike, protects my frame/stanchions and truck with adequate protection, and it was easy to install. Anyone that had trouble securing their bike with the straps either has a defective pad or installed it wrong cause it couldn't possibly be any easier.

Great tailgate pad
I have had a few other brands of tailgate pads, and this one is the best. It is well made and has decent Velcro where the others did not. I use the small on my 2000 Tacoma, and on my 2021 Ford Ranger. It fits great on both trucks. The fit on the 2000 Tacoma surprised me because the tailgate is so shallow. I would buy this again.

Race face pad for my 2020 Tacoma
I like this pad as it provides excellent protection and very secure with bikes strapped. If you have a Gator hard bed cover on the 5ft bed then you’ll have to position the bike at an angle which sucks but it doesn’t shift around. I had two bikes in and I could probably fit one more before having to remove the bed cover which would’ve been super inconvenient. Also it’s difficult getting it to keep the same contour of the tailgate but maybe I didn’t try hard enough because I was in a hurry.. also most of these pads won’t allow a bed cover to shut all the way with bikes unloaded so that’s another downfall. Good quality materials used but if I had to rate it out of 10 I’d probably give it a 6.5 or 7. Hope this can help someone else out.

Quality Saddle for a Mid-Sized Pickup
Searched high and low for the right size tailgate bike pad for my Honda Ridgeline as the tailgate is unique due to the dual function opening drop down or swing away. This pad has a taper that falls within the 48 1/2 in length on the inside and fits perfectly. The adjustable handle access is perfect allowing just the right amount of space to protect the gate and keep the reverse camera clear.

So far so good.
I've only had this on my '17 Tacoma for a short time, but so far it has worked really well -- holding our bikes very stable and keeping them from banging into each other. I was a bit unsure if it would work for kids bikes (16" and 20"), but they've fit over the tailgate just fine. I run a long bungee cord through the kids' bike frames to help hold them in place, as the downtube straps are too long for the smaller bikes.

Holds some bikes better than others
Well made. Used it to transport my Specialized mountain bike and it held it perfectly upright for a 4 hour long trip in the bed of my Tacoma. My wife's Specialized hybrid bike no so good. The bike stayed secured to the pad but the down tube velcro strap did not keep the bike upright. It fell over in the bed of the truck at any angle. Smaller diameter vs. my MTB so maybe that had sometime to do with it falling over to the side. For that reason I'll probably go back to using a hitch mount bike rack for future trips.
