AP World History: Modern Flashcards (Barron's AP)

Being myself, I procrastinated until the last minute to study for the test. I used mainly these flashcards and studied the entire set over a period of two days. I also read about a third of the book that accompanied this set. That was the extent of my studying, and I got a 5. In my opinion, these flashcards are good.

The cards are definitely a lot to study, but they were really helpful for studying for essay questions! I generally didn't do too great with LEQs because I had trouble getting all the info together, but the way the cards are separated by time period made it easier to memorize the information I needed. As for the actual AP test, I would recommend getting the book since the cards doesn't have every piece of information you'll need, but the cards are a great supplement if you don't have time to look through the book!

I don't have my son's AP score yet, but he felt these were very helpful. He used them on a plane while taking a Spring Break trip as well as at night when trying to do some review. The cards have context as well as items to learn\memorize.

Just in his first few study sessions, my son was complaining about the accuracy of the information on things from military battles to Christianity. He's still planning on using these cards to study, but he is getting some other resources to fact check when something seems off.

Good Distant Learning Example but needs to be Online. Check and map to standards then backup with video and other online content. Need Teachers that know how to do distance learning implementing these and many other courses online so All students can access and All parents who have time can monitor progress. Performance Based Education(PBE). Could be paid for with subscriptions, scholarships, grants etc.

Our student scored a 5 on the exam, using this tool. Less than two weeks before the exam, our student was not feeling very confident about the exam, so we purchased this resource. Our student loved it and wished we bought it sooner. I don’t think a 5 would have been scored without it.

Missing all of period one(all but the blue card saying 'Period One') and missing the ring to hold them together. Might be missing more. I'll know after I try to reorganize the mess it came in. Might have to send it back,but I don't want to-the cards I did receive seem to have good talking points for each period. I was so looking forward to something about homeschool being easy for a change.Edit: it's also missing period five. Going to see if I can return it. Very disappointed

They are good for a lot of things. You could even use them if you don’t take the class. They are small, so if you have trouble seeing, you should probably grab yourself a pair of glasses!They also have good skills to know on the cards like synthesis, what it is and how to do it.
