I am very happy with the product quality and price. This Joyday fishing reel purchase is my second one. For the cost of the Joyday fishing reel, it was worth it to buy two of these in case if I need a back-up reel if one broke down. I am just waiting for the start of open fishing season to try out this new Joyday fishing reel.

13.8oz for hb7000... better than I thought. I guess the gross weight (16oz) in the ad must include the fishing lines. I wish I bought 4000 though. I feel it is too heavy for my rod.I take out one star for the plastic materials used for the shinny parts. These parts seem to be the weakness of this reel.

just because you company states that the drag is 39.5 # drag is REALLY NOT? note for ever washer and carbon or in this case PLASTIC DRAG WASHERS WILL NOT MAKE 39.5 #S OF DRAG THIS IS A SELLS PITCH! to make the reel 39.5#s of drag, you need carbon fiber inbetween the plastic washers to make this happen, usually starting from the top, plastic washer, carbon fiber washer, then plastic washer, and so on each set up makes for 10# of drag for a spinning reel so 4 carbon fiber washers in set would make 40#s drag in this reel it plastic washer , then SILCONE WASHERS, THEN PLASTIC WASHER, .in this combination the drag is maybe 5 #of drag in 4 each making it maybe 20#of drag, and to note that carbon fibers and plastic silicone washers due in time BURN OUT AND NEED TO BE REPLACED BUT THE SILICONE WASHER WONT EVEN LAST FOR A FEW TRIPS TO THE LAKE? AND THE DRAG ITS 39.5#? . NOW WE KNOW REEL IS CHEAP ON THE PRICE , SOMETHING TO FACTOR IN BUT, 39.5# DRAG NO WAY. ? EXAMPLE I HAVE HERE A BAITCASTING REEL FROM BROWNING THAT STILL TO THIS NEVER BEEN APART AND THE CARBON FIBER WASHERS ARE STILL IN GREAT SHAPE, AND I USE THIS AT LESS 10 TIME A YEAR FOR THE PAST 12 YRS AND IT NEVER FAULTED ME, AND I PAID 18.00 FOR IT, SO IN CONCLUSION, IF YOU SEE A REEL WITH PLASTIC SILICONE DRAGS WASHERS WITH PLASTIC WASHERS IN FRONT AND BACK OF THE SILICONE WASHER IN THE REEL IT WILL NOT PREFORM THE DRAG THAT IT SAYS IT WILL. MAYBE HALF AT BEST? BELEIVE ME , !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Super strong and durable, reeld up some big fish with that reel, first I was sceptical but I put it to the test and I was amazed!Don't think twice, just get it! Highly recommended!

I like trying different reels from Amazon just to see what the quality is like. I have found some very nice fishing, reels and equipment. Unfortunately, this reel is not one of them. Visually, it looks nice. But as you crank, it is extremely rough and it’s supposed to have at least 13 bearings. I will be returning this.Update——-Three days after I returned this real I was sent a Replacement and let me tell you this is a whole lot better. Not sure why the first one was so rough but this one is butter smooth. I’m going to pair this up with an ugly stick two piece. It will cosmetically match the ugly stick, and I think the light weight will help tremendously for a walk around real/ bank fishing reel.Thank you to customer service. I am super happy now. You will see this one on the outdoor channel.

Seems well made but the 7000 reel I ordered is smaller than the 6000 it replaced. Only held nalf the line off the 6000
