Great product
I hate to have to use these but my deadlift has gotten stronger than my hands and I have been feeling even like I might hurt myself deadlifting very heavy and having my form get thrown out of whack because one of my hands is slipping. I tried gloves, no gloves, wrist wraps but still after a couple reps of struggling with my grip the third or fourth rep was usually where they would fail. These things do the job very well. I still feel like I am using my hands but am not concerned about the bar slipping at all, which is so great. I feel like I can pay proper attention to my back, chest, timing, hip location, weight distribution, core tightness, knees, balance, head position and neck alignment. There is so much that goes into that quick lift and hands slipping is a factor I don't need to consider. These seem well made, heavy duty and comfortable, we'll see how they last.

The best way to work your traps is by facing away ...
I use these hooks/straps to lift 720 pounds for six to eight reps on a deadlift machine. There's no way my grip would be able to accomplish that without some help. Even standard wrist straps are incapable of achieving it.The best way to work your traps is by facing away from the machine and lifting up and back with just the traps. Your arms are only hanging by your side as you shrug your shoulders up and back. Not even one-handed barbell shrugs can achieve this optimal form. These straps are better than others I have tried. They do not slip down and over the thumbs to put stress on the thumb bone or tendon. This is achieved by the steel "ring" which allows you to double back the velcro strap like a half hitch before securing it, giving extra strength and resistance from coming loose. This is a simple but effective design that is head and shoulders above the competition.

I am a female - and they were perfect for me
I had been looking for a pair of these for a while. I researched and read the various reviews - and purchased these by Grip Power Pads. First of all, I am a female - and they were perfect for me. I used them today for deadlifts (fits perfect on the OLY bar). I also used tried them for bentover dumbbell rows and barbell rows - also worked well for those exercises. I wish I would have purchased these a long time ago to be honest. Especially when doing deadlifts, now I can concentrate on the form and less on my hands gripping the barbell. So, for the price and quality, these are awesome. Plus the customer service is excellent. Any questions and they respond immediately.

Glad I bought them.
Very well constructed and durable. Can't understand how these are half the price of other brands since they are just as strong as others. I have owned several other brands of these hooks ( they were lost or stolen while at the gym) and paid up to twice as much for the same quality. When I was looking for a new pair I was actually afraid to buy these since they were so inexpensive. Thought they would be cheaply made. These are excellent quality and should last me a long time. So far I have been pulling up to 100 lbs of dumbbells on these w/o problem as well as assisting me on pullups ( I weigh 200 lbs).

great for dead lifts
just got this in the mail and i love it. I have a weak grip so when i do dead lifts my grip tends to get weak after awhile and when the weight gets heavy. I used these hooks yesterday and i was able to lift 315 lbs my best yet. Now they are not perfect the hooks make griping with your hands difficult as it pinches your hand ive been trying different ways to approach the grip so my hands do not get pinched. But overall nice fit they are marked left and right hand comfortable on the wrist. would recommend if you have a weak grip

Prompt delivery and very high quality construction. The only con is that at least for my wrists, the front part of the strap/metal digs too much into the wrist.

BEST equipment I carry in the gym bag
BEST equipment I carry in the gym bag !! This is GREAT for conventional dead-lifts, sumo dead-lifts and stiff legged DL. It saves my wrist from taking the strain, I was having sore wrists from lifting heavy with straps. I went from gloves, to straps, then gloves with reinforced Velcro wrist straps (it still wasn't comfortable) NOW, I use them for pull ups....no more pain !! No one else at my gym uses them and I was a little shy bringing them out in public, BUT now I proudly wear them!!!

Serve Their Purpose
They serve their purpose I guess, but I was using a set of dumbbells doing seated shrugs and one slipped off... Because of the imbalance, I was thrown sideways and injured myself, but not badly. I don't know if the hooks fit tightly enough around the bar. Also, I guess because they are new it's a little difficult to strap them on tightly enough... Especially after you already have one on. Again, they serve the purpose and maybe I just need to get used to them and they need to get a little more worn in... They just didn't perform as great as I expected initially...
