Great States 404-16 16 Inch 5-Blade Push Reel Lawn Mower

Great product. Had been using an old Black and Decker reel. This one is MUCH lighter. I don't have a garage or tool shed so mower must be hauled up and down the basement stairs. I can lift this with one hand and easily transport it. I am a total ding-bat with written directions and was able to assemble this in about 10 minutes which means the average person could do it in 5 minutes or less. Mows well and makes a crisp, happy sound. I am now mowing my grass twice a week instead of once because it is so pleasant with this tidy mower.

Terrible.First of all no tools included.Mower won't roll backwards unless you are on a flat surface. The settings are adjusted by taking bolts out and put back in. Forget it if your lawn is bumpy. Also if your lawn is above 4 inches high.

Ordered this through Amazon Prime and was cutting my gras with it three days later. Easy to set up, just a few nuts and bolts to fasten the handles to the mower and you're good to go. Some reviews mentioned it's hard to cut tall gras (duh) but I've experienced no trouble if I go out every week or every other week depending on how much rain we've had, how warm it's been, etc.The only draw backs from this model are a) the narrow swath that it cuts, looking back I would go with the 18 or 20 inch model even though it costs a bit more, and b) weeds that pop up higher than the gras can take two or three passes to cut. The mower will push the stalk down and run over the top of the weed only to have it pop back up. Not a problem if you keep a weed-free yard, but if your yard is like mine and still has a few dandelions and the like it means going back and forth a few times.

I don't know if its the machine or my yard. I live in Florida, so the sand here is a bit softer, didn't work too well on it at all. Ended up having to get a real lawn mower, just giving it a 3 just in case it was my yards fault or just the product.

This mower cuts about half of the blades of grass it runs over. After three uses, the foam handle grips have begun to rip. If you want a great workout and don't care about how the lawn looks, this is the mower for you. And really... foam handle grips? What were they thinking?

Delivery driver sat box inside for us. He didn't have to, but that's the kind of delivery service we appreciate.The review: took item out of the box, assembled it in a couple of minutes. Then I read the instructions! LOL! Seriously, it went together without a hitch. Took it outside for ops check. All systems go. If you want a mower for small area, this is the one. (we live in a mobile home park)Very satisfied!

Great mower! I get exercise using it. It's easy to push and does a good job. Cuts well. I don't have to start it thank God! I got so sick of putting gas in mowers and having to start them.

Id rate it higher except I cant seem to get it put together to even use

A light & efficient tool, perfect for my small patch of grass, and to cut the lawn solely the sound of whirring blades is like listening to good folk music.
