What can I say that hasn't already BEEN said? Well, the Allman Bros are together again...if not on THIS Earth, somewhere in the sky. Love the legacy of all these 11 hits... and a fewmore:Disc: 1 1. I grew up with this band, but was a bit dissapointed. There are a few great memorable songs here, but the performances are often padded and seem overlong with way too much repetition . As far as quality of the recording, again, it just isn't up to modern standards. i guess my tastes changed with the years.

「Jessica」と「Ramblin'　Man」が聴きたいだけの『にわかファン』の私には十分な内容でした。1969年から1979年までの代表曲が11曲収録されています。コアなファンには物足りないのかも知れませんが11曲と言う曲数も『THE　BEST　OF・・・』の冠どおり『広く浅く』で丁度良かったと思います。もちろん目的の曲以外も良かったですよ。

Ich habe mich immer geärgert, daß nur ein Bruchteil der gespielten Titel im UKW-Radio der 70er und 80er angesagt wurden und ich dadurch keine Möglichkeit hatte, mir zum Hit den Namen der Band zu merken.Die Allman Brothers sind davon leider auch betroffen gewesen. Erst jetzt lerne ich sie mit diesem sehr gut ausgewählten "best of" kennen. Sowohl als Musiker / Solisten als auch als Songschreiber sind die Allman Brothers auf einem ungewöhnlich hohen Niveau, was auch dem Klassik- und Jazz-fan etwas geben kann. Sie haben bei mir sofort ZZ-Top ausgestochen, die zwar auch fetzigen Südstaaten-Rock machen, aber im direkten Vergleich doch sehr einfach gestrickt.

Très bonne compilation, tout les essentiels du groupe y figure ...un régale, dont ne peut se lasser et qui réjouira tout les amoureux des seventies.
