Engaging curiosity + culture
This is a great collection for early readers with an interest in the world. I love reading with my kids and this book is perfect for a quick read chapter book before bed. I like that it is sprinkled with facts about the world and cultures around in addition to little mysteries and innocent themes. I would like if this was a little more sophisticated or if there were more volumes available (there are 10 total), but I'll take what I can get and this is a fun collection that sparks a lot of conversation at our home.

Cute stories
These have been great for Summer reading. As well as, using along with our geography studies. Gives some basic facts about the city and the boy/sister team are interesting.

Great for kids leading to read.
My twins are in first grade and love this series. They need help with some of the words but overall can read most of it in their own and really enjoy the stories. Really gives them a sense of accomplishment to be able to read a chapter book.

Not very exciting
They are not as exciting as we thought. First book boring, second book was ok... have not ready 3 and 4 yet, we started reading something else.

Mystery and World Wide Adventures all in one book!
I purchased this series of books for my 8 year old grandson. He is in a French speaking total immersion school and had been struggling with reading for some time now. He told me that he didn't enjoy reading. And I told him that this may well be that he hadn't found the right books for himself, that if he found the books that were a good fit for him, the enjoyment of reading would come. Our entire family loves to read.I searched on Amazon and found this series. Our grandson has traveled often. He loves travel and he loves the food enjoyed while travelling. And he is very good at thinking outside the box and solving things. His father has told me that he and his son love these books. They have traveled to some of these places. My grandson is interested and looks forward to reading with his dad every evening. My concern is...what can I find to top this series? I must begin to look again on Amazon before he reaches the last book!
