Starting to Have issues with 1 of the 2 I bought.
I bought two of these and both started right up after programming the Opener. Then, last year (year 3 of 4) one of the openers started being finicky. I had to press the button really hard in the mornings for it to close the garage door on my way out. It would then work fine the rest of the day. Eventually, I took the cover off and notice that if I pressed a little on the battery it would work just fine. So, I'm thinking that the electronics board might have some issues with the connection to the battery. It then didn't work at all. Checked the battery level and it was fine and tested some of the resistors which were fine also. Then I decided to go and reprogram the opener to the remote and presto it works again.

The Work but Don't Have the Same Range
I purchased two of these as backups for two Chamberlain 953CD remotes that are still working after 5 years. The new backups basically do work. They can be linked to the opener using the purple button, and they do activate the opener when pressed. However, as other reviewers have noted, they do not have the same range as the original model. For reliable operation my car now must be within about 25 feet of the garage door. With the old model I can be 50+ feet away and activate the door as I turn in to my driveway. That is really convenient. I achieved that performance by adding a remote antenna to the opener. By the way, since I still have the old remotes, I did a side by side test of both new remotes. I even installed fresh batteries and repeated the test. They both have the same limitation. I am guessing that there has been a design change. So, I am hoping that my old units live a lot longer.

Good and cheap
Has typical range, has a clip, super easy to program. Is exactly what I wanted for the cheapest I could find it.Have only been using a couple weeks so I can't say anything about longevity, but it doesn't seem like any better or worse quality than my roommate's $40 clicker aside from not having 3 buttons._______________________________________________________2 year update: Aug 2016I'm keeping the 5 star rating.Pro:CheapAfter 2.5 years I still have the same batteryCon:Very limited distance. ~20 feet? My roommate with a clicker for ~$40 can do it ~300 feet)Doesn't always recognize the first click. Potentially related to not having changed the battery, but in general I think 1 out of 10 times it needs a second click.I don't personally mind the cons. If you do, you should probably look elsewhere

Liftmaster remote works OK with incompatible receiver.
It's better than the standard Chamberlain remote, but it still weaker than the older models. It only works from about 15' away. The old ones worked from about 100' away - much nicer to use. The new factory Chamberlain remotes only work from about 2' away, so this Liftmaster model is a major improvement. The bumph says it's only compatible with a purple-light receiver, but it seems to work OK with my yellow-light receiver,.

it was easy to connect and works just like the original one ...
There is something about the feel of this remote that is off, it feels really cheaply made. However, depite that, it was easy to connect and works just like the original one that came with our garage door opener.

It works!
An exact replacement for our stock unit, that finally failed after 10 years of abuse, drops and a front loader washer machine wash cycle (I forgot it in my pants pocket). I recommend.

Chamberlain garage door opener
Works perfect as an additional remote. Original remote is 1573, 953CD, HBW1573 for a Chamberlain 1/2 Horse Power.Only bad thing is I have hit it while it is in my pocket and it activates the garage door. However that is an operator error. Just something to be aware of. Would highly recommend this remote.
