Really enjoyed reading this book. Fascinating historical record of this 'man made' material. It has made me far more aware of the 'decoration' found on various properties following recent visits to London and Plymouth.

Liked the examples of statues that have survived for centuries using this type of clay material. The mystery of the lost formula adds to its interest.
