Problems Using With Windows 10 & 11
I purchased the Rocketek RT516X with the expectation of using it to clean up info on old cell phone SIM cards. The first issue was that Windows 11 security would not allow me to extract the files in the RAR file. I then tried to extract using Windows 10. I had success, however, I had no idea from the documentation as to how to get Sim Editor to run. I tried to run the autorun.exe file but that failed. I noticed in the documentation XP so I ran it thru WIN 10 Trouble shoot. It suggested to run it under Windows XP service Pack 3. No luck.In Conclusion:The other card function seem to work but beware if you want to use it on a SIM card.

Little flimsy, but gets the job done
Been using intermittently with a convertible tablet/laptop computer. I like it because it does in the usb A and stays together without blocking USB C ports.Nothing has broke, but the plastic where the card slides in is thin enough and flexes enough that it seems likely to break or at least crack in the next year or so.

Buy this ONE
Great little CAC reader. I owned one other CAC reader that died on me within a month of use. Since my last one died I had to search Amazon for the handful of simliar CAC readers for sale at varying price points. I chose this reader based on price and added card reader functionality. This one has had zero issues with drivers, hardware, software, etc. It's small and easily fits into my laptop bag and is relatively unobtrusve when plugged in. The added functionality of being a storage card reader is great (I've tested on SD and microSD with no issue).Highly reccomend.

Small and works nicely
I picked this up to replace a larger, bulkier cabled smartcard reader. Nothing against that other smartcard reader, as it works well, but this one travels easier. I travel 10-12 days per month and I do need to utilize my smartcard upon occasion (and the Surface doesn't have a reader built in).I will say that I haven't utilized any of the other media reader functionality of this, so I really cannot speak to that, but the size and the fact that it reads my smartcard without issue makes this a great gadget at a great price.

Not as good as it use to be
My first unit was purchased in 2017. Someone liked my card reader as much as me and stole it. Because I liked the small size and reliability of it, I purchasd a second unit. I never had issues with the first one, but my current readers seems to have a short in it. I disconnects when it wants and sometimes doesn't connect at all. This can be very frustrating when trying to do online training. I don't unplug from my computer as it is stationary. I will purchase another smart card reader but not this brand.
