I used it for an outdoor automation project. I wanted to control watering both remotely and on timer. I used this to power a WeMo d1 mini, which controls a relay module. The relay module opens or closes a 12V ball valve for the water. I used an outdoor 12V transformer that plugged into an outdoor socket. It powered both the ball valve and this transformer. The ESP controller can be powered by a microusb, so this little guy was perfect. It is compact, easy to wire and works perfectly with the controller module. Can highly recommend. Will likely buy more for other automation projects, typically outdoor ones that require 12V. All open source, nothing in the cloud, cannot go obsolete when a company dies, no spying on my home network, reliable and cheap. What else do you need?

I wish the product description or photos would have included Left or Right 90 degree micro USB connector.My dash cam required the connector being the “other” way: I am unable to use it, therefore I cannot issue judgment on it’s function nor reliability.It generally looks well made.

I bought this item in Feb. but due to Covid I only installed it two weeks ago, to power a dash cam on my car. I drive very little this power supply worked total less than 2 hours and already failed. Pretty bad quality... beware and spend your money on a better power supply
