Very sturdy way to attach legs to aprons
I’m an amateur cabinetmaker, but had no experience with this particular type of construction. I bought these because I’ve had a heavy table held together with kerf mounted metal corner braces like these for 35 years and it’s still rock solid. The directions that came with the set were pretty clear but didn’t say what size bit to use to drill the hole for the hanger bolt. I used a 1/4” bit and it seemed to work well, giving the bolt something to grip. The main difficulty I had was marking the aprons for the kerfs, getting it right, because it was my first time doing it. In the end I was pleasantly surprised that the table came out with almost perfectly square corners. Driving the bolts in with two machine nuts was ingenious- probably a standard method, but I’d never done it before. I’d buy this set again.

Good value
Works as expected. All hardware is of good quality. Instructions are adequate. However the recommended kerf is a bit generous - they suggest 3/8" deep but 1/4" is better.

Great Quality
Used these for a bed-to-bench conversion and they worked great. Much better quality than what was offered by the local Home Cheapo (not putting them down--I shop there all the time!). But seriously, these were much better and came with all the necessary hardware that many others do not.

nice, but the bolts are too short
very nice quality and they come with stainless steel nuts - not really necessary, though. the threaded bolts were a bit too short for my application, but i had longer ones in stock.

Good Medium Duty (Not Heavy Duty) Product
Although touted as heavy duty, these metal brackets are suitable for light to medium duty work. Metal gauge is rather thin for heavy duty application. I dropped one star because they have used the word “heavy” instead of “medium” in product description. Other than that it is a good product and reasonably priced. I will definitely buy them again, if I need more medium duty metal brackets in the future.
