Did not fit correctly
I had to file the square shank down to get it to fit ignition switch.

Good product at the right price.
I installed this product on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition. I would of rated it 4 stars but there was no installation sheet. It is not that this product is hard to install, it is just that if you do not have it lined up right then it will not install correctly. I have installed many ignition, cylinders and switches. I think this is a good product. The pin is stouter than the OEM. The pin on the actuator is strong and the metal housing that turns the switch is a lot thicker in the certain areas, that I have seen show signs of weakness. I also like the fact that they include two springs.

Does not fit 1998 Jeep Cherokee
In the description is clearly stated that it fits Jeep Cherokee 1997 - 2001.While close, I can definitely say that it does not fit my 1998 Jeep Cherokee..The ignition key end does not seat quite far enough back for the key cylinder to pop back in. This is due both to a small difference on a cam of the plastic pin as well as the in the body dimensions. On the starter switch end the casting is a bit too wide to be inserted into the switch's rectangular receptacle. Being an engineer, I have spent a fair amount of time check fitting and comparing to the original part assembly to verify this incompatibility.Furthermore, as per the manufacturer instructions in the box, I emailed them the above info. No reply.I ended up buying a Dorman part from Advance Auto Parts for $50. It fits and functions perfectly.

Works as intended
This is by far the lowest cost for this part I could find. Definitely worth buying. The only problem I had was the plastic pin that gets pushed in to make it ding when you leave the key in got stuck. So when I would remove the key it would still ding. I just cut it off so no reminder about the key in the ignition but I don't mind.
