Pretty impressive
So far, I've been pretty impressed. I have a collection of masts in line of sight around 1mi away, so I mounted this at a corner of my roof aimed at the tower. I powered it via a small PoE switch that I bought, and installed an EE SIM in it. Unlike a lot of folks here, the SIM worked right away with no issues. I tried a variety of broadband speed checkers and I think the minimum download speed I got was around 45 Mb/s, and a few times it was as high as 95 Mb/s. Uploads topped out around 45 Mb/s, but more normally in the high 20s to mid 30s.I have yet to integrate it into my existing network to replace the copper to the house, and I think that this may be where some of the complaints regarding the interface may come into play. The quick interface is fine, but I have to disable some services like DHCP as I don't want this device being in charge of those functions. Some small annoyances: The access door is a pretty tight fit bigger hands. The slot for the cable is geared toward their PoE injector, which is kind of a weird cable since you don't really want it near the router (how to weather proof?), but perhaps it would have worked if it was placed near the switch/PC end of things. But I ran an outdoor CAT6 cable into it and not only is the cable notch a bit tight but it was really tough to get the right angle to plug the cable into the first Ethernet socket (this is the PoE in socket). I see absolutely no way to make use of the second PoE out socket without either using a much narrower cable or else leaving the access door off.The band clamp is really more meant to be used on a pole that's 2 or 3 inches in diameter it seems to me, but I'm a bit worried about the J-bar pole that I used on my house as they are a good bit narrower. The clamp holds it pretty well, and it's quite tight, but I'm worried that the router might be spun a bit in some of the big winds that we get here in the winter. It would have been nice to include a rubber strip that could be applied between the band clamp and mounting post to keep such things from happening. I didn't have one when I installed it, and I'm concerned that I'll need to get back up there if the wind has its way. But I'm sure the position is a big reason why I'm getting the kind of speeds I'm seeing.I was worried about some of the issues that other reviewers raised, but I guess I got pretty lucky in that it seems to be running quite well without a lot of fuss. Next, we'll see if there are any issues with connections lost/remade. But right now it's working a treat.

Improved signal stability
This did improve signal stability on a mast 7km from the house with direct line of sight, however the speed coming through was unusable and therefore the product was returned.

Good for fringe reception or strong reception of high frequencies
I have this pointed at my nearest 4G mast that supports EE band 7 (2 carriers) and have locked to this frequency in the firmware. This has allowed me to achieve up to 88Mbps download and 25Mbps upload. With regularly over 70Mbps download. It's a shame I can only aggregate 2 bands as that mast has 5 carriers - 2x1800Mhz, 1x2100Mhz and 2x2600Mhz with 80Mhz total 4G spectrum. That is a limitation of the Category 6 though which until later this year is the best Mikrotik do.One star less as the ethernet interface is only 100Mbps when an LTE Category 6 signal is capable of providing a download speed of well over 100Mbps.

Disappointed
Two days wasted trying to get this darn thing to work! I regard myself as expert in cellular and proficient at IT and IP networking. This device is obviously targeted at 0.00001% of the population who can make it work!I tried it with 3 different SIMs , all of which work fine in a handset at the same location. In this device, I'm pretty sure they were all connecting at the 4G/LTE level, but no IP connectivity or pings possible.Support was useless. Got an automated response suggesting contacting retailer (Amazon, yeah, right!), reading the manual, or using the user forum (nothing there helpful).I hate being negative in reviews. On the positive side, if you can get this thing to work, from my cellular expertise I KNOW it will improve your 4G experience!

Superb in areas that only just get a 4g service
An absolute arse to setup..But brilliant when functional

Couldn't get to work with EE data card
Spent many hours trying to get this to work. I would get connected to the network and this disconnect after a short period- then connect - then disconnect. Once connected there was no DNS/internet. The signal indicator gave me 3 bars. This is meant to be 9dB. I currently have a Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0002 which is also 9dB - however when plugged into my internal router gives a full 5 bars. Very disappointed with this. Very unusable interface as well - for real tech heads only (and I'm a software engineer).

Firmware update so important
Firmware was out of date as a result when we inserted the sim and APN profile it was very unstable make sure software is up to date

Had to return as the set up was very tricky
Did not manage to do the set up with an EE SIM card. Had to pay and IT guy to do it for us. Once it worked it kept disconnecting. Decided to return.
