Can You Escape the Museum?: Can you solve the puzzles and break out? (Escape Room)

My son loved it. We did it together and want more!! Nicely done and keeps the kids busy and away from consoles

My nine year old really liked this. I saw some reviewers saying that the cards/cut outs are not linked to puzzles - but I thought that was a good thing - as its another challenge for the child to figure this out. It is a great way to help children work with various pieces of information and figuring out what is relevant. I agree though that some of the push outs could be on harder paper as they do tear easily. It is quite expensive for something you can only do once - but you can then share with friends.

Brought as a gift so cannot add anything else

I bought this for my kids and have enjoyed every second of this brilliant and innovative book. My 6 and 4 year old wake up every morning asking for another go (it’s too hard for the 4 year old, but he likes pushing the pieces out and helping) I would rate it as the best puzzle book I’ve ever read. I think 8 and up could do it with no adult help at all (there are hints provided) but as an adult I found the puzzles pleasingly thought provoking. A fantastically varied array of push out pieces to solve a great set of puzzles. We’re on the last room now and I’m already in mourning. If there were more in the series I’d buy the lot, and I’m off now to look up other books by this author.

The puzzles and the book they come in are brilliant - challenging enough that a child has to think laterally but not so impossible that a parent has to help each time. However it massively lets itself down with the production of the puzzle pieces you have to use to solve the mystery:1. They are not in order or even grouped so sometimes I’ve had to look at the answer to make sure my child has the right clue to help them solve the puzzle as it’s not always clear.2. The real gripe is the paper used; it is so thin it’s literally impossible to pop the shapes out and piece them together without ripping them (Eg when you have to fold paper into a cube to be used to solve the puzzle). It’s been such a faff having to tape them and as an adult with small hands who does lots of box room mysteries I’m a pretty dab hand at putting them together - so if I can’t, a kid is going to massively struggle too.Some of the pages are card but most are insanely thin paper so I did wonder if I had a bad copy. Other than this it really is great and we’re enjoying getting through it but it’s very frustrating.I’d love to get my son more but only if I could be sure the clues were going to be better made so we didn’t spend the majority of the time waiting for me to pop out the clues and stick them together for him to use.

Got this as a gift for a 7 year old, and he really enjoyed it. Just needed a bit of help with a couple of the puzzles, but that just made it more of a joint family game which isn't a bad thing.

Very interesting. The clues make you have to think. Our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren have needed a little help. Would recommend.

Fun book and a nice challenge for kids and adults!

Played/read this book with my great niece and nephew (8 & 10) and we enjoyed it! There are a lot of physical components to punch out and manipulate to solve puzzles that move the player through the narrative. There is a large, attached envelope in the back of the book to store the items. We passed this on to another family and they also enjoyed it. Would definitely purchase another book/game from this company.
